Manini Mishra replaces Vidya Malvade in 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'
Manini Mishra has replaced the Chak De!India actress Vidya Malavade in the soap Diya Aur Bati Hum.
Vidya had auditioned for the role of an IPS officer in the serial, but the producers of the show felt she was too soft for the role.
They roped in Manini instead. When Vidya was asked about the development, she stated, "They wanted a certain amount of dates for three months for the serial.
I had other commitments so decided against it." Producer Sumit Mittal said, "We chose the one who suited the role." Diya Aur Bati Hum is the story of a woman's struggles who dreams of being an IPS officer.
