It should be banned. It amounts to wasting tax payers money. If they win both they have to give up one seat and hold re elections.  People should be confident of the support they enjoy from their voters in their home constituency--- if they have done good work while in power.

That confidence is wanning or was it never there πŸ˜†

Much as I dislike the idea of an individual contesting from two seats, there is a valid reason in it's support too.

There have been elections where for various reasons, elections have been postponed for a seat. Hundreds of independents file nominations, especially from seats where Biggies are involved in and these independents are of all ages and types. For any reason if one of them dies, election commission has no option but to postpone the elections.

Imagine a guy like Modi, pitched to people as BJP's PM in waiting, suddenly being told he can't get elected as MP as a 92 year old independent from his Varanasi / Vadodara seat, passed away in his sleep last night! πŸ˜²

A few of the Brahmins might also vote for BSP in places like Jhansi or Hamirpur. So that leaves BJP with just the middle class and non-Brahmin upper castes, if I'm not wrong.

naah, modi is too popular for any caste or religion equations to work 😊 both upper castes and lower castes will most likely vote for him, if we had to discuss equations. congress is finished for another 5 years at least.

Whether Mr AK will become the PM or  has the potential to be posed as prime ministerial candidate is a matter to debate. One thing is certain this election the AAP party will have sufficient seats which can possibly ruin the chances of NDA to form the govt. Especially in  the northern region and metros. We cannot doubt his honesty, he is a dry honest man and really interested in reforming the Indian polity. Only thing is he needs to chart out his plans and focus on one issue at a time. The party should be visionary and methodical in its functioning. They are blamed of spreading anarchy and resorting to work on issues only to grab the media attention and remain in news. The media is  blamed for working as an agent of some of the major parties as such criticising him for his  conducts. However we all know how the media functions. They just pick one or two lines from the interviews as per their choice which can give them ample viewing leading to higher trps for their  channel. There are examples where his statements have been misconstrued.
We have seen the governance of both the major parties. Let us give an opportunity to AAP . See whether they can deliver good governance or it was merely a rhetoric like their contemporaries to grab power.

a dry , honest man who stages interviews and swears on his children to not take support from congress. it is sad he has fooled so many people. atleast he is taking more votes from congress than bjp.

he wont win more than 7 seats (3 from delhi, 1 from bangalore, 1 from haryana , 1 from UP,1 from punjab) and will gift seats to bjp on a platter and ruin congress!

no one apart from a small bunch from minorities and a small bunch of gullible youth will go with this idiot for lok sabha.  he failed governance and already his vote base has reduced.

I would be amazed if AAP can get 10 seats all over India. (BTW that would be an awesome performance and they should take a lot of heart from it if they win 10 seats actually!

Problem is Kejriwal is EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE.

Who can trust this man?

Bacchon ki kasam naa BJP se support loonga, na Congress se...within 2 days U-turn!

Hate security culture, security naheen loonga------Next day Wagon-R surrounded by Z+ security!

AAP will not take Govt bungalows...Next day secret letter requesting two bungalows...

Main Sarkari bungalow mein naheen rahoonga...Even after quitting as CM, he is STILL NOT vacating his bungalow. He has been served with eviction notice, been asked to pay 2.58 lac rupees per month and he is happily paying rent! Does anyone even ask him from where he gets this much rent money? His wife is a Government servant...surely she can't cough up 2.58 lacs a month from salary!

If one starts listing his contradictions and U-turns, it would be a grantha, an epic! But suffice it to say that its all very well to say Kapil Sibal is corrupt, Gadkari is corrupt, Reliance is corrupt...but then atleast show up in courts when someone sues you and takes you to court over defamation. Sibal's son has sued him and now he is running for cover!

His only aim in life is to go down in history as a martyr but problem is he is not consistent on a single thing he says or does! Ask Anna! πŸ˜†

"I will not work for a Corrupt Government, so I quit IRS...(No problem if my wife keeps working for same corrupt Government & we live whole life in Apartment allotted to her by this Chor Government)....Lots of love--Arvind Kejriwal! πŸ€£

I agree with you.
I think AAP and AK make mistakes which are highlighted because of the fact that they are novices. Many Indians complain about politics and corruption in India but how many actually leave their successful jobs to get into a harder uncertain life? there are some complaints even I would have against AAP but I want to give them a chance.
We have given lots of chances to the other political parties. They are yet to impress in so many ares after getting several opportunities to prove their worth.
Media's credibility is questionable. A biased media is not unheard of. In a few instances media has magnified AAP's deeds unfairly.

Thanks Wanderer for understanding my point. He may be a novice immature but we cannot doubt on his credibility. You see what are the choices before us. BJP who is out to win the election by hook or by crook. Insulting the senior party leaders and denying them tickets instead giving to the ones who are defectors and have recently joined the party. They can trust on them but they can't trust a senior member. Mrs Sushma Swaraj openly expressed her displeasure regarding denial of ticket to Jaswant Singh and inclusion of Ramululu in the party. They  have compelled Advani to contest from Gandhinager with a ploy that he ends up losing.
Coming to the Congress it appears they have already conceded defeat before elections. We all know the massive corruption and scams under the UPA regime.
Please examine the option before us. Well i know AAP party is yet to prove themselves. We have tolerated the bigger parties and the seasoned politicians for so long why not give an opportunity to AAP . There is no harm in testing friends .We are veterans have suffered so much due to bad governance. So let us test the capabilities of Mr AK. At least he will not say that we devoid him of the opportunity.
