Apart from the best films that
we featured in 2013, there were
also some equally good films
that did not make the cut. In
terms of commercial or critical
considerations, these films were
probably not shown as much
love by audiences. Nonetheless,
these were the films that pushed
boundaries, and made a mark by
attempting something different
and individual.
Mere Dad Ki Maruti: Ashima
Chibber's zany over-the-top
comedy, with a Punjabi father
and son at the centre, combined
with a missing car, was pure rib-
tickling fun. Protagonist Ram
Kapoor did full justice to his role,
and newcomer Saqib Saleem too
won many accolades for his
performance.
