ZEHREELA SAANP

Scene 1

Forensic Lab

Dr.Salunke was getting ready to perform post mortem on a dead body when Freddy arrives. Freddy asks the reason for Salunke's good mood to which the latter shows him the old love letters that he has found while cleaning his house. Freddy makes fun of him by saying that how can someone send Dr.Salunke love letters. This angers Salunke and he keeps the letters aside and starts performing the post mortem on the dead body. During this, he notices something and is left shocked.

Flashback:

A lady from the royal family from Peepalgarh pays a visit to an art exhibition organized by a painter. As soon as Maharani Shanti Devi arrives some people start protesting against her outside the exhibition. This angers her and she decides to leave. However, her personal assistant, Aniket convinces her to attend the press conference and then leave for home.

At the press conference, the journalists question the lady about her decision to sell off a piece of land in Mumbai. The people who stayed on that land had started protesting against her for taking away their only home from them and had also sent some letters threatening her of taking revenge. In the meantime, the lady feels thirsty and one of her assistants brings mineral water for her. The lady drinks the water, but after sometime dies on spot.

CID arrives. The body had turned blue hinting it to be a case of poisoning. Abhijeet interrogates Aniket who tells him that the lady had spent her previous evening at a hotel and had directly arrived to this exhibition from the hotel. She hadn't consumed anything other than juice and light breakfast. Also the man who had brought the bottle of water for her pleads that he is innocent as he had brought a bottle of mineral water for the Maharani.  Abhijeet asks Shreya to send the bottle of water to the forensic lab. Mukesh, the painter says that he suspects the protesters to have murdered Shanti Devi.

Scene 2

CID Bureau

Daya brings the 3 leaders who were leading the movement by the occupants of the sold land. They deny having sent any threatening letters to the Maharani. ACP provides them with pen and paper and asks them to writer their name and address. they find various excuses to avoid writing but finally one of them confesses to have written the letter on Kuldeep's orders. Kuldeep was also one of the 3 leaders. He tries to escape but Daya catches him and he finally confesses having paid a supari killer-Lucky, to murder Shanti Devi.

Scene 3

Forensic Lab: Present Time

Salunke shows Freddy that there was a snake inside the body of Shanti Devi. He sprays a chemical on the bottle of water and the other materials that Shanti Devi had touched at the press conference, but none of them had traces of poison. ACP and his team is called to the lab and informed about the matter. ACP orders to catch Lucky as soon as possible.

Scene 4

At a bar, Lucky is trying to pack his bag as soon as possible and disappear before CID team catches him. He confesses in front of his gang members that he had not killed Shanti Devi. When his gang members ask for their share of money, Lucky gives them a very small amount and this angers the rest of them. One of them shoots at Lucky and asks the rest of them to take away their share of money. Lucky is shocked to see that the man had not killed him for money. The man confesses that he was involved with Shanti Devi's murder and so wanted to close the case with Lucky's death. CID team arrives at the spot. A shootout follows but the man escapes. Lucky confesses that he wasn't the murderer but dies before he could name the real culprit. Abhijeet notices one of the other gang members was still alive and so takes him to the hospital.

Scene 5

Salunke informs ACP that the snake was an African Troba. It was only found in Africa.  Freddy suggests that may be Shanti Devi had visited Africa sometime back and consumed snake eggs by mistake. He adds that the eggs might have hatched inside her body and the snake might have killed her this way. However, Salunke rubbishes off the idea as the HCL found inside human body would have destroyed any egg that might have entered the body anyhow. The snake must have been forcibly put inside her body in the past 24 hours. Shreya suggests that the snake might have entered her body at the Hotel Balmy as she spent her last 24 hours at the same hotel.

Scene 6

Abhijeet, Sachin and Nikhil visit the hotel. The manager denies having any involvement with the murder. The staff members are interrogated and one of them blames Ketan(the manager) for having appointed a new laundry boy for Shanti Devi's room. Ketan denies having appointed any laundry boy at all. Sachin shows the waiter Raghav's photo, but the waiter says that he had seen Raghav at the parking lot but he wasn't the one who joined as the laundry boy. Ketan takes the CID team to the laundry room and introduces Partho to them. Partho was also a laundry boy at the hotel. He says he too had met the new laundry boy but thought Ketan might have appointed him. However, the laundry boy only worked at Shanti Devi's room and did no other work. Abhijeet asks him to help them draw a sketch of that man. CID team then search the room and find a small box with the label - Optimal Cargo. They spray the box and find traces of snake poison inside it. It was now confirmed that the snake was brought in the same box.

Scene 7

Office of Optimal Cargo

Daya and Freddy visit the office. The manager refuses to know anything about the snake. However, CID team could smell a bad odour and decide to check the store. They find smuggled animals and arrest the manager.

Scene 8

The manager confesses having brought 2 snakes from Africa for Raghav. An expensive stone necklace was found at his office. The manager says that Raghav had gifted it and said that it belonged to the royal family of Peepalgarh. ACP suggests that somebody from the royal family must be involved with Raghav in the crime. They decide to visit Peepalgarh.

Scene 9

At the Royal Family's house, a servant named Murari lal welcomes the CID team. He informs them that he wasn't sure but he too feels that Shanti Devi had murdered her husband at Africa for all the money and property of the family. He adds that they didn't have any heir. Suddenly, Daya notices a portrait of the king on the wall which looked very similar to the sketch of the fake laundry boy. They wonder if the sketch belonged to that of the king's son, but Murari Lal again says that he didn't have any son. In the meantime, another servant signals ACP and asks him to meet him secretly. ACP asks his team to look around the haveli and he himself goes to meet the other servant. The boy introduces himself to be Shambhu and says that Murari was lying. The king had  a son from his first wife who died long time back. His name was Vikramjit. But after the king's death, Murari once took Vikramjit with him and returned with the news that he had drowned in the river. However, according to Shambhu, Murari must have killed Vikramjit on Shanti Devi's orders.

Scene 10

At a hotel in Peepalgarh

ACP, Freddy and Daya suggest that Vikramjit must be alive and is taking revenge of his father's death. They predict that he must return to kill Murari as Murari had tried to kill him. The second snake might be used for this. They decide to spend the night at the haveli.

Scene 11

ACP, Daya and Freddy return to the haveli, but this time in disguise of Shambu's relatives from his village. They take Shambhu to one corner and tell him to cooperate.

Scene 12

Forensic Lab

Salunke and Tarika analyse the case thoroughly. They predict that the snake might be in hibernation when it was put inside Shanti Devi's body. This is the reason why the snake didn't attack at the hotel but at the press conference. Also, Shanti Devi must have been sleeping at that time, so she wasn't aware of it at all. Salunke tests the snake skin and finds Poppy seed oil on it. This meant somebody must have applied that oil on the snake body to make it easily slip through Shanti Devi's mouth.

Scene 13

At the Haveli

At night, CID team keeps an eye on Murari and wait for Vikramjit to come. However, they find Murari escaping and catch him. Murari tells them that Vikramjit was never dead. He himself had taken care of Vikramjit and saved him from the ruthless Shanti Devi who wanted to kill Vikramjit. However, he refuses to tell anything about his whereabouts. Salunke calls up and informs ACP about Poppy seed being used for the murder.

Scene 14

Raghav meets his partner in crime. He gives him a briefcase and says that it contains his share of money and tickets to London. Raghav opens the briefcase to check his money, but a snake attacks him. CID team arrives and gives him the snake antidote and catch the real killer. It was the painter, Mukesh. They remove the mask from his face and find it to be Vikramjit.

Scene 15

Confession : Vikramjit confesses having killed Shanti Devi. He wanted to take revenge of his father's death. He was waiting for the correct time to execute his plan. He knew the blame would be on the protesters if Shanti Devi died now. He was the one to go the hotel as a laundry boy and slip a snake into Shanti Devi's mouth while she was sleeping. He adds that he took a disguise of Mukesh in order to see Shanti Devi dying right in front of his eyes. ACP says that Vikramjit was actually greedy of the money and property that belonged to Shanti Devi. They had found a DNA report at Vikramjit's house which he had prepared to prove himself to be a part of the royal family after Shanti Devi's death.
