And hee yu go my dearest readers... the next part... questions aren't answered yet... gotta wait for that one... so the air of suspense is still maintained... but I hope u ll like this chapter...
Sakshi gasped as she saw him look at her. He looked at her like she was the sun and he was a blind man looking at her for the first time. Like she was not just his love but his' worship. Like she was the oasis in the desert of his life. Like she was the reason he breathe. Like she was the Centre of attraction in his boring universe. He was looking at her like she was the gravity which held him there. Like she was his Sakshi and he was her Arjun.
She smiled slowly and whispered again...
His name from her lips sounded like ambrosia to his ears. He closed his eyes and breathed in, feeling drunk in her presence. A small smile graced his lips before it faded away. He could hear her sped up breathing and smiled again knowing the full effect of his presence on her. He could hear her heart beat and that thought made him sober. He opened his eyes and looked at the girl in front of him. The rest of the world faded away. Did she even know the extent of his emotions when the topic was her? Maybe she did, he thought to himself and his brows furrowed when he thought about how she had fought against her very family for him even though she didn't even know him. Her beating heart was a proof that with each and every beat of it she had loved and trusted him more. That he had never given her a reason to trust him and yet she had graciously bestowed it upon him with a smile on her face. And now standing here and listening to her wild heart he wished he was normal... for her... for them...
He didn't deserve her but he was helplessly in love with this human girl. She had become his entire universe and letting her go wasn't an option. But were they on the same page? Will she accept his reality?
Sameer looked at the guy standing before him and gripped Aiesha more tightly. For some reason, he knew, he felt it in his very bones that Sakshi was safe. Maybe it was because of the way the guy looked at her... with complete adoration and reverence in his eyes.
Even though the guy hadn't taken a step since he had suddenly... magically... appeared out of thin air... there was an undercurrent of danger and deathly calm about him. Something which told them not to mess around with him.
He appeared normal on first glance. His modern, black t-shirt sticking to his well toned chest as if a second skin. But when you stared at him for too long even the modern outfit couldn't hide the other worldly air he held about him.
Aiesha couldn't understand what had just happened. For a moment she had felt Sakshi was seriously going crazy. And now she felt she was going crazy. What just happened challenged her very beliefs on supernatural. For god's sake! The guy had just appeared mysteriously out of nothing! She had a full right to be alarmed!
Sakshi sat there dazed and appeared to the others as if in a trance but somewhere within her a storm was brewing. A storm of emotions. She didn't know what to say. Should she feel happy that her Arjun is finally in front of her or scared because of the way he had come? An air of foreboding surrounded the guy she loved. Saying she was amazed would do no justice to what she felt right now. She was shocked beyond belief would be the correct way to explain it.
She stood up slowly and moved towards him. His eyes following her movements cautiously. She looked at his tense posture, glad to know that she wasn't the only one tensed. Her mind had so many emotions swirling inside it but one emotion out voiced every other one-
She had to touch him.
She had to feel him.
She had to know if this wasn't just an amazing but heart breaking dream.
She walked up to him and stood in front of him, weak yet strong. Tensed yet calm.
He looked at her and wanted nothing more than to take her in his arms and never let go. But he didn't want to alarm her. He had done that enough already. He had to take it slow to gain her trust again which he felt he had won by cheating in the first place. He sighed.
She raised her hands slowly towards him and saw his eyes following it. Her hand reached him and slowly but surely met his rugged cheeks. She gasped at the flow of something electric in her veins as her skin met with his. She was at war. Should she remove her hands or leave it be... enduring the surprising current which he must have felt too, by the surprised look in his eyes? She let her hand be and raised the other hand to join the first one at the other cheek. He closed his eyes and hummed his approval, a hint of smile on his closed lips.
She giggled playfully and then the tears of happiness cascaded down her face.
"Arjun!" she whispered giddily.
"Sakshi!" he slowly said her name. She felt as if someone had set all her nerves alight. She closed her eyes and gasped. She knew she loved him but she didn't know how much till the second he had said her name. And now she knew that she loved him so much that just hearing her name from him made her feel like she was complete.
His voice sent tingles in her body. She felt goosebumps on her arms and back and her heart missed a beat, going in an overdrive the very next second.
Sameer took one step forward when he saw Sakshi sway, but Arjun snapped his head towards him noticing them for the first time. Sameer stopped moving and Aiesha held him tightly even though Arjun hadn't said a word to them. Something told Sameer, Arjun wouldn't like anyone to come between him and Sakshi at this moment. The thought was like a shackle which chained him to where he was standing. They became like statues or maybe an audience watching the scene in front of them silently.
Arjun held Sakshi tightly by her waist when he saw her sway dangerously to the left. His attention was back to the girl in his arms. He held her like a treasure, which she probably was to him. She gasped again as she observed their positions when she opened her eyes and then was back to continue the scrutiny of his face, raising her hands from his cheeks and touching every inch of his face just to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
He chuckled at her actions knowing the reason behind them and removed his hands from her waist. Sakshi grumbled at this making him chuckle again. He held her probing hands in his and brought them to his lips before dropping a kiss on them.
Sakshi smiled with tears in her eyes as she saw his eyes and their emotions.
"Sakshi?" Sameer called from behind.
Sakshi felt Arjun stiffen and smiled reassuringly at him while she patted his hands. She turned and looked at Sameer.
"Ye Kon hai?" Sameer asked when she gazed at him questioningly. Sakshi glared at him angrily before answering.
"Itni jaldi Bhool gaye? Ye Arjun hai! Wahi Arjun Jise tum thodi der pehle figment of my imagination bata rahe the!" Sakshi said.
"Arjun?" Sameer asked slowly looking at the guy in front of him with both awe and suspicion.
"Ya arjun!" Sakshi replied. She then took the liberty of pulling Arjun towards them. He didn't move an inch from his place and didn't allow her to move ahead. She looked back at him and frowned.
"Sakshi please introduce them from here itself!" he said and smirked, knowing her intentions fully well. She frowned but complied.
"Ye Aiesha hai!" she said pointing towards her still shocked cousin.
"Pata hai!" Arjun said. Sakshi looked at him in confusion. "Aur ye bhi janta hun ki this guy is her husband and yo brother in law Sameer..." he said stressing on the word 'brother'.
Arjun hadn't forgotten the fact that Sameer was the same guy who was going to take his place in his Sakshi's life, neither had he forgotten that once he had gotten so angry at him for coming between him and Sakshi and also for making her cry that he had shook the sleeping Sameer awake in the middle of the night. He still had animosity for Sameer and he wasn't letting it go in the near future.
"And who... or should I say WHAT are you?" Sameer said sarcastically. Apparently he had come out of his shocked silence. He had already matched Arjun's husky and deep voice to that of the unknown caller from the afternoon. The guy who had called him through Sakshi's cell. Sakshi winced at the way he was speaking but remained silent and started looking at Arjun because she wanted to know the answer to this question herself.
How was it?!? Next chapter u ll know who Arjun is... till then I hope u ll excuse me;) babyeee... tc...
