After Anushka Sharma's foray into production, it's Shahid Kapoor's turn next! A Mid Day report suggests that Shahid has reportedly agreed to co-produce his next movie Haider with his old film-maker friend Vishal Bharadwaj. The film will be a joint venture between UTV, Vishal and Shahid, with each co-producer getting 33.33 percent of the budget's share.
To reduce the costs associate with the project, Shahid has charged a very small acting fee and hopes to get his remuneration from the profit the movie makes. The movie is being made at a modest budget of 37 crores, with 22 crores going towards production and Rs 15 crores to publicity.
Also, Shahid has decided to keep his new production stint low-key, and will not be formally taking credit for it. Shahid decided to turn producer because he had complete faither in the project.
The first schedule of the film began in November, with major portions being shot in Kashmir. The team is set to head back to Kashmir again for its second and final schedule soon.

I think he's producing it and taking a small acting-fee because of his box-office failures and because R Rajkumar was only a semi-hit when everybody expected it to be a blockbuster. Producers are losing faith in Shahid Kapoor ðŸ˜” Edited by Parko - 10 years ago

I think people expected it to be at least a hit or super hit.. the stupid reviews ruined it otherwise it would've been a blockbuster! That would've helped a lot more than a semi-hit...
