A famous actress, Khushi buys a new house and gets her interior decorator- Bina and her secretary- Haresh to see the house. Bina starts making her notes, while Khushi goes to the windows to see the view from there. She is shocked to see a man standing near the window and peering in. The man has a disfigured face. Khushi screams on seeing him. The man who is as startled as her screams back. The man has gone from there.
Khushi finds a chest and kneels down near the and slowly puts her hand into the chest to feel the treasure. Suddenly her smile changes to one of horror. She screams and yanks her hands out of the chest. Her hands are being eaten up by some kind of acid.
She screams. The CID is informed immediately. On their way to the house, ACP takes all the details of the house from his team. Abhijeet informs him that actress Khushi bought it just last week from a certain Mr Chandan and they have called him also for interrogation. As per Mr Chandan, he did not rent out the house to anyone. He had bought it only last year and now sold it to Khushi.
Abhijeet examines the chest and finds that all the jewelry and coins have been well coated with some acid in powder form.
The coins and jewelry are taken to the Forensic Lab for Dr Niyati to examine them properly. She studies them under the magnifying glass and notices a date is seen on them. She tells Daya that these coins were minted in 1605. About the acid, she tells him that it is a household cleaner that does not affect metals and these stones. But has a disastrous effect on human flesh and was used like a burglar alarm to stop people from robbing these coins.
Chandan tells the ACP that he bought the house about a year back from Gajadhar. When ACP aks him about Gajadhar's address, he tells them that Gajadhar disappeared mysteriously after selling the house to him.
Meanwhile, Fredriks finds a human skeletal jaw in the compound. Daya, in the intervening time, goes to the museum and meets the curator, who is stunned to see the coins and the jewelry. He tells Daya that this was supposed to be in our museum and who gave him the permission to take it out. Daya and the curator go to the display counter and now find out that the coins and the jewelry in the display case are false. And the ones with Daya are real. That means that someone has robbed the jewelry and no one knew about it. Daya tells the curator not to mention to anyone about the robbery. It looks like an inside job.
Muskaan is in the kitchen investigating. Suddenly, she sees a man running outside the window. He has his back to her. She shouts to him to stop. He does not. She runs outside. Now she finally corners him. And she pulls him around to face her. And she screams. It is the same disfigured man. Cops corner the disfigured man. The man tells them that he is Sundar, a small time thief. Two years back he saw something strange happening in this house. He saw two men enter with keys inside and they hide a chest behind the carpets. He waited for them to leave and he went inside and he opened the box. He was stunned to see this treasure. He was so happy that he picked up the coins and he threw them in the air, they fell on his face and ate up the face, that's how his face turned out like this. Since then, he has been waiting to take his revenge.
Daya is back from the museum and tells his team the items were robbed from the museum. And it looks like an inside job. Just then, Sundar tells them that he saw those 2 men place, the box 2 years back which means that the robbery was done 2 years back
Dr Niyati finds out the identity of the man from the pace maker found among the bones. It is Mr Gajadhar.
Cops are stunned. Mr Gajadhar died 2 years back. That means that Chandan lied to them. How could a dead Mr Gajadhar sell him the house one year back? CID team corners Chandan who confesses that one night, 2 years back he came to speak to Gajadhar about selling the house to him but Gajadhar refused.
After hearing the entire story, ACP feels that the two men must be employees of the museum only. Daya finds out that the same people who worked in the museum 2 years back still work there. And there are 20 employees. No one has left. That means that the robbers are still employees. They might be waiting for a chance to sell the coins and jewelry. Now the only way is to lure them out. Next day, there is a headlines in the newspaper that actress Khush's new house is going to be torn down to build a new one.
Next, we see that at night, two men enter the house and start to pull away the carpets. And instead of finding the chest they find Abhijit and Daya there waiting for them with guns pointed. The two men make their confesion -
They are guards who work in the museum. They robbed the display and then decided to wait for a couple of years to sell them. So they hid them here after killing the owner. But they did not know that someone would falsify papers and sell the house to someone else.

Some actors are so absorbed with their onscreen roles that we think, ...
Is it curtains for the longest running show on Indian television..?
