Scene 1
The episode begins in the year 1920. A village named Sushilpuri witnesses the assassination of a man who was accused of being a traitor to the nation. He used to work for the British Army and had supposedly informed them about the freedom fighters who were then murdered by the British. However, the man denies all the accusations and says that Harilal(one of the three men who were accusing him of being a traitor) was intentionally framing him. He also adds that he would return one day to take his revenge. The villagers kill him.
Scene 2
Present day
A couple is travelling in their car towards Sushilpuri village. Their car breaks down in the middle of the road and the man(Shekhar) goes in search for a mechanic while the lady(Neha) waits in the car.
Scene 3
Abhijeet and Tarika come out of a movie hall and plan to go for lunch together. Abhijeet receives a call from Daya to whom he lies and says he is a little busy investigating a small case. In the meantime, Tarika meets her college friend Ania and they decide to meet for dinner the same day. Abhijeet receives yet another call, this time it was something serious and so he leaves immediately.
Scene 4
At the hospital, Abhijeet, Daya and Shreya meet Neha. She explains what had happened at the fort near Sushilpuri village.
Flashback: In the car, Neha falls asleep but when she wakes up she realizes that it was more than an hour but Shekhar hasn't returned with the mechanic. She comes out of the car and finds Shekhar's watch lying nearby. On finding his pen and some blood lying on the ground, she decides to follow the path and goes inside the fort but becomes unconscious seeing the frightful sight of a headless man holding his head in his hand.
CID team is left confused and reconfirms whether she was sure to have seen such a sight or was it just an illusion. However, Neha was confident to have seen the headless man and agrees to even help the sketch artist draw the face.
Scene 5
Abhijeet, Sachin and Nikhil visit the fort and find no one but an empty tent. Also, a video camera was set at one corner of the fort. They recharge the battery of the camera and check the recording. A man had set the camera at the location and was seen occupying the tent there. However, after sometime the man was seen running away from the fort on seeing something frightful. The team is left shocked to find a human hand lying in the nearby jungle and decide to send it to the forensic lab. They also find a cell phone. The last call was made to someone named Suresh. Abhijeet calls up Suresh and asks him to come to bureau the next morning.
Scene 6
Shreya shows the sketch of the head that Neha had seen at the fort. She adds that there were no records of this man in the CID database. Daya orders her to send the sketch to every police station and to their informers so that they could get at least some information from somewhere. In the meantime, Freddy arrives with Suresh. He introduces himself as the producer of a tv show which exposes the reality behind many suspicious incidents. Amar, the man seen in the video, was the host of the show. Suresh adds that they had filed a missing person complaint in the police station after Amar's disappearance. Amar was believed to be a brave man. The camera too was planted by him in order to record the entire truth that lied within the fort.
Scene 7
Abhijeet visits Sushilpuri village where an old man tells them about the incident that had taken place 90 years ago. He tells them the entire story and says that Veer had returned to take his revenge. Two other men(Ranvijay and Madanlal) rubbish the old man's theory and ask the CID team to ignore his meaningless story. The old man (Ramu Chacha) warns the team that Veer will soon kill everybody and that no one will be able to reach the hidden treasure. Before he could say anything more about the treasure, the two men take him away by saying that it was time for him to take his medicine. CID team asks the villagers to inform them if they come to know anything about Amar or Shekhar.
Scene 8
Dr.Salunke says that the hand belonged to Amar as per the DNA records present in their Database. Further, he adds that the hand was not cut with any sharp weapon but was pulled out with force, as if done by any animal. He also tells them about the piece of cloth that was found in the jungle. It was an old piece of cloth, that belonged to the 1920s and had traces of dynamite that were once used by the British Army. Freddy and Pankaj suggest that the story of Veer's soul returning to take his revenge must be true as the piece of cloth belonged to the same era as that of Veer. However, Daya rubbishes the theory and says that it must have been done intentionally to mislead them. Shreya suggests that they should meet Prashant. Prashant was a well-known historian who had done research on the freedom fighters of India. Daya agrees and also asks his team to gather information about the people who have rifles belonging to the era of 1920s.
Scene 9
Abhijeet, Sachin and Nikhil visit Prashant's home and show him the sketch of the headless man. Prashant recognizes him to be Veer and gives them the book that has details of his story. He adds that there is a second story that says that Veer might have been framed and murdered for a different reason. Abhijeet receives a call from Shreya. She informs him that Ranvijay had a habit of collecting old rifles and guns. They decide to meet him.
Scene 10
At Ranvijay's house, they find his dead body lying on the floor. The head was twisted around. They search the house and find 2 very old rifle. But there were no bullets found anywhere. Freddy finds a cheque worth Rs.15 lacs on Ranvijay's name. The date on the cheque was that of the previous day.
Scene 11
Abhijeet visits the auction house which had issued that cheque for Ranvijay. The manager informs him that they had bought some antique items from Ranvijay and the cheque was issued in return. Abhijeet asks him to show the items that were sold, but the manager tells him that the items were already sold to a girl named Rashmi. She had visited the exhibition for the first time and had covered her face with a scarf and goggles. They ask for further details of Rashmi and so he gives them the photographs that were clicked at the exhibition on that day.
Scene 12
Pankaj informs Daya and Freddy that on reading the books that were brought from Prashant's residence, he has come to know that the British army had robbed many Indians and stolen their jewelleries and treasures and had hidden it somewhere. The officers of that regiment had died one after the other and the treasure remained hidden forever. Veer belonged to the same regiment. Daya predicts that someone must be in search of the treasure and that's why he or she is using the story of Veer's ghost returning to take his revenge. Shreya comes with a new set of information. She says that she had come to know about the 3 men who were mainly responsible for the assassination of Veer in 1920. They were - Harilal, Bhushan and Jogendar. On further investigating she had come to know about their grandsons. Shekhar( the one who was missing), Ranvijay( who was found dead at his residence) and Madanlal. They guess that Madanlal's life was in danger. Daya calls up at his residence and is informed that he wasn't at home and had left for the city in his car.
Scene 13
Madanla's car was found in a jungle. CID team is informed by a local police officer. The man who had seen the car going into the jungle was also present. He tells them that he had seen the car turning into the jungle at night. So he too followed the car after sometime but found no one inside the car. CID team check the car but find nothing. Abhijeet notices the bushes nearby which seemed as if somebody was dragged above them and into the jungle. Abhijeet orders to search the jungle.
Scene 14
The photos of the exhibition are being checked by the team. They find a photo of a man buying an antique mirror from the exhibition. There was a reflection on the mirror...and the reflection was that of the girl they were looking for. The one with black goggles and scarf around her face. Abhijeet recognizes the face to be that of Tarika's friend, Ania. He tells Daya that he had met her the previous day. Daya realizes that Abhijeet had lied to him about being busy with a small case while he was actually with Tarika. Embaressed, Abhijeet changes the topic and decides to visit Ania's house.
Scene 15
At Ania's house, they find her dead body lying on a chair, her head lying on the study table. There were marks of a bullet wound on her head. CID team search the house. Abhijeet finds Ania's cell phone near her body. They find a photo of Ania with Amar and they predict that they both must have been involved in the crime together. Freddy finds a diary that belonged to Veer. They find something written on the first page of the diary which looked more like a code word. The first letter was H' which reminded Daya of a book that he had noticed some moments back near Ania's dead body. He starts looking for the book. In the meantime, Abhijeet decodes the rest of the word. He notices the clock on the wall and something strikes his mind. He compares the symbols with the clock hands and decodes successfully as H275'. Daya finds the book whose author was Harrison. The book belonged to the same era, i.e. 1920. They open page no. 275 of the book but are shocked to see they were left blank. Abhijeet notices some pieces of lemon, a hair drier and an ear bud lying nearby. He gets the clue and uses the ear bud to apply a little amount of lemon juice on the blank page and then dry it using the drier. The page now showed a map.
Scene 16
CID team visits a cave on a mountain. The map found at Alia's house depicted this very cave that they were visiting now. They search the entire area and find a rock with the mark V' on it, similar to the one they had seen in the map. They try to remove the rock with great difficulty and find a very old piece of gold necklace. They realize that they were late as someone had found the remaining treasure already. They search the nearby jungle.
In the jungle, Prashant tries to kill Amar but CID team comes and saves him. Prashant is arrested and confession follows.
Confession: The arrested man says that he wasn't the real Prashant. He wasn't the historian. Rather his name was Rajeev and he was Veer's grandson. Amar had told him about this fact. He then went to Prashant to enquire more about his grandfather Veer from where he had come to know how Veer was framed by the 3 men. He then decided to take revenge and kill there grandsons (i.e. Shekhar, Ranvijay and Madanlal). He adds that he had to kill real Prashant or else he might have told CID about him.
Amar had faked his own death when he had come to know about the hidden treasure. The hand belonged to somebody else, but the database was manipulated by Ania, as she could easily access the databse from Tarika's computer. He however, says that he never killed anyone. All the murders were committed by Rajeev. Rajeev confesses his crime and Daya gives the phaansi dialogue.
