Diya Aur Baati Hum Written Update 2nd December 2013

Sandhya explains her reasons to Bhabho that she wants to take vows in her full sense and fulfill them like Bhabho and Bhabhasa.  Bhabho is convinced and she asks Suraj that when he knows it is his marriage, why he did not bring his wedding sherwani.  Sandhya asks Chathuri to bring it.  Bhabho teases Sandhya saying she knows it as Sandhya has packed her wedding attire, she would also have brought Suraj's and teases Suraj saying he has packed all the sweaters and shawls.  She asks him to get ready.  Bhabho scolds Chathuri for not disclosing it to her.

Emily is showing her beauty parlor to her parents and explains her plans on how she would arrange things in the parlor and work.  During this, Emily's mother stands right below the live wire and Emily warns her to move away and also asks the painter to remove it who says he will as soon as he finishes his work.

Suraj is ready and the pandit asks them to exchange garlands.  SurYa sit down in havan and Pandit asks Bhabho to tie the ghat bandhan.  Bhabho ties it and is very pleased and blesses them both.  Pandit asks all to pray to god and then asks Suraj to take Sandhya's hand in his.  They do and pandit places betel leaves, areca nut and flower in their hand for the wedding vows and chants mantras.

Meena's mother is scolding Meena that she is not smart enough and how she lost the new shop to Emily.  She advises Meena to learn some tactics on how to keep your mother-in-law on your side and get things done easily as Emily does.  Meena's mother drops her coffee cup on the costly bedsheet and Meena is scared how to clean it and by pouring water, she further makes it worse.  Meena's mother advises her to be calm and sees Emily has soaked clothes for washing and so asks Meena to soak this bedsheet along with it and then tell Emily that Pari wetted the bedsheet so they have put it to wash.

Pandit asks SurYa to take their 7 wedding vows which they do and then the betel leaves and flower are dropped in the holy fire.  Pandit then asks Suraj to put sindoor on Sandhya's forehead.  The pandit says the wedding is complete and they can take the blessings of elders.  SurYa take Bhabho and Bhabhasa's blessings.

Emily and her parents return home from parlor.  Emily notices the soaked clothes and asks her parents to sit and relax while she will wash them.  While washing, she notices the new bedsheet being soaked and also the stain marks.  She asks about it to Meena who says Pari wetted it and so she has put it to wash.  Emily understands Meena's ploy and is tells that it is not Pari but Kanha who wetted it but before she could finish, Meena scolds not to insult her before her parents.

In mandir, after blessings, Bhabho tells Sandhya that since she has fulfilled her wish of taking the vows again, asks her to fulfill them and also not to forget her eighth vow which she has taken.  Sandhya has flashbacks of Bhabho asking her promise to keep family above always over her IPS job and Sandhya tells she remembers it and will fulfill it.

Precap:  Suraj tells Sandhya that he was a bit hesitant while fulfilling all the rituals but now won't hesitate to fulfill the final ritual of their wedding and points her to see their shadows overlapping.
