why name was changed?? hmm...well cuz in Bodh gaya, under the fig tree he went in for deep meditation for many days ..i guess round about 50 days, and on full moon of may , Siddhartha got the answers for the sufferings..and hence his name changed to Buddha " which means who is awake or the enlightened one "

Q. Birth place of siddhartha and in which era πŸ˜ƒ ?

A stupa is a mound-like or semi-hemispherical structure containing Buddhist relics, typically the ashes of Buddhist monks, used by Buddhists as a place of meditation.

The Great Stupa at Sanchi, India, established by Ashoka (4th-1st century BCE).
