Chanchan is a nice show, the only problem is it's time slot. It had to compete with shows like Diya aur Bati, Balikavadhu (if i'm right) which are top in TRP. In India a saas-bahu show to get TRPs must have the bahu with 'sar pe pallu' n all traditional stuff. Chanchan has a way too modern bahu compared to these high TRP shows. Doomed to fail commercially.
Sony should've played it safe. They had high hopes on Sanaya, they cud too but not in competition with such shows, Indian audience are not that modern.  Edited by Hamsa_dhvani - 10 years ago
