REMEMBERING THE GOLDEN DAYS
The clock struck 10, it was Friday,
Not as awaited as before;
I switched on the TV, still not sure
Should I watch, or should I ignore?
CID began; I suddenly remembered the chopper,
Its blades churning the air;
It took me back to the golden days
The golden moments, that are now lost somewhere...
The days, when Investigation was the focus,
Analysis... so realistic and logical;
When simplicity deeply touched our hearts,
When the aura was truely magical!!
Strong-hearted but gentle ACP,
Daya's sweet smile that made our day;
Forensic doctors adding their flavours,
Abhi, pursing his lips, took our hearts away!!
When all team members shared a special bond
Based on respect, belief and care;
When "Haan Daya?" was not unusual,
Everything seemed so natural, so fair...
Duo in danger, and we moved to tears,
To us, it all seemed reality;
But now it happens so often
That we easily guess it's a YSPT!!!
The characters portrayed by the actors
Made CID so popular, no doubt;
When expressions spoke more than words,
When "Crime Investigation" was what it was all about!!
A couple of minutes past 11, I realised,
I had missed the case, but did not regret;
'cause I had relived the Golden Moments,
Which I doubt we will, in future, get!!!
