September 11 Remembered ...

As far as I know and can recall, this day has been the worst in the history of mankind. Nostradamus predicted it some centuries ago. But closer to home in the present times of worse acts of terrorism ever planned so meticulously, I cannot help but year after year on this day I recall the inhumanity committed in the year 2001, 12 years ago today.

I used to work on the 65th floor of Bldg #1 some years prior for Port Authority of NY&NJ, yet felt that I was saved, as if I was still working there. My Carrebean GF, her husband and her son owned a small employment agency (that is after I moved away down south and she quit PA) on the 19th floor. As luck would have it, all 3 of them got late by few minutes only because the WTC security just happened to call her (because of a 1993 incident at WTC), told her, Mrs Allen please hang up the phone and turn the TV on. The moment she did, the bldg came crashing down right in front of her eyes. That day I was in Northern Calif and tried calling her all day but there were no connections, until it was restored and midnight her time (9 pm in CA) I finally spoke to her. She was crying, bursting, shocked, but profusely thankful to God.

I just had to share this with you all...

girje ka gajar sunte ho, yeshu
phir bhi tum chup rehte ho, yeshu
apne chahane walon ko tum kaise chunte ho yeshu
aaa yeshu

kya jism ye bemani hai
kya rooh gareeb hoti hai
tum pyaar hi pyaar ho lekin
kya pyaar salib hoti hai
rui ki tarah is jism ko tum
isliye bunte ho yeshu, yeshu
girje ka gajar sunte ho yeshu
phir bhi tum chup rehte ho yeshu

koi nahi is waqt yahan
is waqt mujhe apnaana
aagosh mein apni le lo
phir chahe jahan le jana
uss par to koi dard nahi
bolo na sunte ho.. yeshu.. yeshu
girje ka gajar sunte ho yeshu
phir bhi tum chup rehte ho yeshu
apne chahane walo ko tum kaise chunte ho yeshu

girje ka gajar sunte ho yeshu
phir bhi tum chup rehte ho yeshu

At 7 am here today (about 50 min ago), above song was played on the local 24/7 radio and the words nearly crushed my heart. Sorry...😭😭

Yeah though it happened 12 years ago it just feels like it happened yesterday. I still remember I was watching it live on TV when the second plane hit the second tower.

I recall this day quite vividly. Coming home from school and watching such a scary scene on TV. May the victims of this tragic incident rest in peace.
