Welcome all to the Appreciation Thread of beautiful and amazing Ankita Lokhande, who won millions of hearts with her sizzling performence in her debut show Pavitra Rishta as Archana. She made Archana a house hold name.

Due to her breath taking chemistry with her on screen and off screen partner Sushant Singh Rajput Pavitra Rishta became No. 1 show of all GECs.

She is still now doing the role of Archana. As per some articles there will be a leap soon and after the leap she will play a double role in PR.
She is also a fantastic dancer. She participated in comedy shows like Entertainment Keliye Kuch bi karega and Comedy Night with Kapil.

Ankita Lokhande is from
a Maharashtrian family. She born and brought up in Indore by the name of Tanuja and is
lovingly called Mintu by her family. Before she trained to be a air hostess but when she decided to take acting as career her parents were
quite reluctant, but she
succeeded in convincing
them and later started
getting support from
them. She moved to
Mumbai in year 2004 as she was selected for Zee Cinestars ki Khoj, but she got big break only in
June 2009 in Pavitra
Rishta.
She is a high quality
dancer. She also participated in JDJ4.

People say she is Vidya Balan of small screen. Many times we see that small screen actors lack
fun part (at least that's the perception) but Ankita Lokhande is filled with fun.
Her rise to fame was
when she took up the
lead role in Balaji's serial
Pavitra Rishta that later became the number one show of television. In
this top serial she plays a role of Archana Karanjkar. She grabbed this opportunity with
both the hands and
proved that she is an
excellent actress with lot of temperament. This show is almost four and a half years old now but still gaining popularity and Ankita is definitely main reason for that. She rocked the silver screen with Sushant as Archana Manav for one and half year. She was about to leave Pavitra Rishta when her longtime on screen partner Sushant left the show to pursue his bollywood career. But after Ekta Kapoor convinced her she continued with Pavirta Rishta and still now she is doing the role of Archana.

Before working on Pavitra
Rishta she struggled a lot
to get a decent break, but
she was fully prepared for
that and it paid. She took
part in Zee Cine stars ke
Khoj and although she
came to Top 4 she didnt
win. Earlier she was
supposed to act in Jay
Mehta's 'Bali Umar Ko
Salaam', she did the
promos also but later
Ankita did not continue with it, as that was not for the lead role, Ankita Lokhande does not regret this.

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput met on the set of PR.
As Lead protagonists in PR, they were always in the spotlight for their amazing chemistry on-screen and performances in the show. Their jodi of Manav and Archana became darling of every household. They were already in a relationship when Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa happened. Introvert that he is, he didn't want to announce it to the world that they were seeing each other.

She hated that, naturally. She fought with him and argued that he didn't love her enough or even worse he was embarrassed! And just when she thought that his opposite nature was getting on her nerves, he went down on his knees and proposed to her on national TV on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa! She was stunned. The guy, who's essentially a private person, declared his love for her in front of a million people just to please her. She fell in love with him all over again at that moment.
