Of course...because Aamir was a superlative script and Table 21 was Paresh Rawal's film...and Rajeev has done some pathetic stuff...what I mean to say is...their good looks work against them because their roles become stereotypical. ..now u only tell me...if I tell u whom at cast as a galli ka gunda in some bollywood flick or a college ruffian..whom will u cast...Karan, Rajeev or Sushant? ?

I would cast none but that is based on their previous work. Your looks play a major role but as a good actor you should be able to fit into all the roles.
i like irfaan khan and nawazuddin sidiqqui...man they are called actors not stars...Clap

Are nahi..I don even watch the originalDeadLOL Its too melodramatic for my taste man..Jen and GR are one dimensional actors..GR is good in intense scenes but falls flat when he has to do mushy romance or act all goofy and silly..Karan actually does that wellLOL Jen on the other hand overacts a lot..She really needs to tone it down a notch..

Gautam is very awkward I feel. How did he manage to enter the acting field when he's so conscious about the camera I don't get. When there is no crying involved, intense scenes are much easier to do than romance. Romance is not everyone's forte.

You've got a good point there.
It also has to do with seeing them daily on TV. TV and Film industries are cousins in the real sense. Similar but you need different skills.
The reverse has also not worked out.

An actor's prowess can never be identified by whether he does TV or films...I don't think SRK is a good actor..but his personality is magnetic

And I have to sit through dubbed IPK. Its more of a punishment for a fan.
But these dubbing serials are ruining the regional industry.

Hello ladies...seems like a healthy debate is up. Here are my two cents:

The only reason a serial works is because of a solid story backed by slick direction and played out by good actors...

IMO...Barun, Gurmeet, Sanaya, Amar Upadhyaya are very average actors...and they will fall flat if not backed by good writing. .

On the other hand...actors like Karan and Ronit can make a mediocre scene look brilliant only by their acting prowess. ..

Bollywood is a different ball game altogether. ..it requires a personality that can slip into a multitude of roles without looking odd.good looks are not essential. ..audience should be able to identify with a character in a limited time span...only 3 so far have made it big in films from tv...SRK, vidya and sushant...because all three of them have a believable personality. ..they could be anyone from the crowd types...

bang on..but i still feel rajeev did better than karan...LOL
sushant i like him...but i still doubt how long he can go

Yaar when you can cast Imran Khan as a gangster, KSG and Rajeev can defo be cast as gali ka gundaLOL Oh and when Kat can survive with one expression, anyone can make it in Bollywood provided you have the right connections and luck is in your favorLOL

We are talking about stars here.
There are many actors who are silent outside but onscreen they create magic.
