I usually dump all my data into an external hard drive once a month. I got a 1 terabyte one for 10 bucks during Thanksgiving.

Maybe do something like that from now on?

Even external hard drives can crash. I save all my writing on Dropbox so I can access it from anywhere.

LOL. Whoops! Cloud is a much better option if you have kids around. For me, my data is stored on two other places than my laptop, so I'm fine.
