Arnav walked across the smoky lounge, regretting to meet his brother Akash & Vandana here. They had wanted to meet up for dinner and drinks, but due to a late conference call with some clients in the US he had to cancel on them, but an hour ago Vandana had called him and told him they were going to a lounge for drinks and dancing, she expected his presence there, no questions asked.
As he tried to find his family members the music seemed to find an easier rhythm, something he could actually enjoy.
Just as he was about to take the stairs to the second level, he saw her. Standing against the wall directly opposite him.
Khushi.
Without thinking twice he made his way towards her, slowly, she hadn't noticed him yet. When he stood a few steps away from her, her eyes connected with his.
He continued towards her and she automatically shifted backwards, the haze, smoke and music almost camouflaging them from the world.
She had so many questions in her eyes and he was more than ready to answer them.
