And it's clear that Hamida Begum has transferred all her hopes & desires onto Jodha. I don't think she had any such love or hope of any other wife of Jalal's. it seems more like even Hamida Begum ( who isn't exactly what One would call wily, which makes me wonder how she gave birth to a son whose mind is not only extremely wily but, swifter & sharper than the sword he cannot ever part with 😆) senses that Jodha is "juda, alag, sabse Khaas". Or it might just be mothers intuition. She feels the effect, very subliminally, that Jodha has on her bete Jaan & hence she has fallen in love with Jodha. She's started to really grow on me. Nowdays she behaves, and looks a lot more like a Mughal Empress than she ever has 😊. HYPERVatis expressions were a bit funny though! But unmistakable, was her happiness on seeing her beloved daughter being showered with such love that too ,from the Mother-Empress of the Mughal Sultanate.. I've been feeling ever since the Royal Couple of Amer (ESP the mother who in blind panic) descended upon Agra; that Jalal very sub consciously wants to keep Jodha happy & since he understands very well that doing so would be to keep her parents happy, he is going out if his way to do so. This desire (along with every other desire to do with Jodha 😛) is so deeply hidden that he isn't even aware that it exists. Yes, he did make her parents stay back to humiliate her through the chess match. But why then did he, being the Shahenshah of Hindustaan, feel the need to escort his wife's mother? That wife, who he loses no opportunity to " belittle" who proclaims ferociously he will destroy! Who he hates? Why then, does he insist on making his wife cook food for him? It is a very lover like desire. To have his wife cook for him. And Jodha's reluctance, his livid anguish at the mirchi incident was much more than what was seen. Jalal saw that as yet another rejection of him. This time it hurt like no other insult of Jodha's- yet. And coming back to the topic, why does he make those banjaaras sing for Jodha's father stating that it would make him happy as he is away from his kingdom ? No. Jalal is day by day, falling for Jodha. But it is so subtle, and so very mired in Hatred & Revenge & then processed through Jalal's highly layered personality; that the poor little dear has absolutely NO idea what will hit him soon! 😆.. Paridhi looked very funny fluttering that flag around. It seemed like she kept wondering when it will land on her head! 😆
