Journey to self-realisation

Life is a journey to self-realisation and not a destination. Knowingly or unknowingly, we are undergoing that journey. Any journey is rigorous and tiresome with hassles, but we smilingly accept it with focus on the desired destination. And we are always ready to take some trouble during the process of reaching an intended end.

At times, our life becomes unbearable as we don't accept it as a journey to any desired destination. So we are broken by stress, bent by suffering and bewildered by the momentary failures and uncertainties. If we accept life as a journey, all the apparently negative happenings become insignificant as a part of the game. Our unwavering focus, therefore, needs to be on the ultimate destination of self-realisation.
The ultimate aim of self-realisation is achieved through attainment or even non-attainment of various objectives which open up various layers of the self, leading to the ultimate. After all, winning of a war is all that is required and not winning each battle. The entire process involves development of non-attachment to anything and everything that cannot give permanent happiness and peace. Nothing in this world can give us permanent peace and happiness. After repeated futile pursuits, we come to realise that blinding craving and emotional attachments are binding us. At long last our negative experiences in life take us back to the core of existence with a non-reactive awareness of the flux of phenomena. Non-attached awareness of the reality annihilates fragmentary sense of self or ego and enables us to experience an overall cosmic consciousness. The ultimate is neither particle, nor wave, neither matter or energy nor mind. It's an intelligent and creative consciousness at root of universe from which everything emanates with thought vibration. Our identification with that consciousness is called self-realisation, which brings awareness and unblemished joy.
