'Supernatural' season 9, episode 10 preview: Jensen Ackles,Misha Collins, and the Crowley decision

We feel for anyone who has to rely on Crowley for anything, mostly because there is really only one thing that this guy has shown himself to be over the course of "Supernatural's" run on TV: A pretty nasty dude, and not somebody that you want to put your trust in for pretty much anything. So how would we feel about the idea of having to actually use him to ensure that Sam could be safe? Well, Dean may not have any other choice than to go with it.

In the sneak peek video below, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins' characters are forced to make the near-impossible decision to actually use Crowley, since he is someone with the capabilities to break an angel. Neither one them has such an ability, and they have to give in to Crowley's demand of a "field trip" in order for him to go along with it.

The unfortunate thing about this is that, as you know, Crowley always has some sort of ulterior motive. So when you hear that he wants something a little bit ambiguous, you have to assume that he is up to no good. Just remember that he has held the title of King of Hell. But desperate times call for desperate measures, and there's something about the trio of Dean, Castiel, and Crowley that we find to be pretty interesting. While they have all been a part of the show for a long time, seeing those three individual characters together is not something that we have necessarily seen a ton of in comparison to other groupings.

Supernatural Sneak Peek: Sam and
Castiel Bond in the Bunker Over
PB&J

http://www.screenfad.com/supernatural/supernatural-sneak-peek-s09e11-first-born-11771
Dean and Crowley are headed out on
a hunting road trip in the next
episode of Supernatural and they'll
encounter the biblical Cain as they
search for a weapon to kill Abaddon.
But back at the Men of Letters
bunker, Sam and Castiel are taking
time to do something they don't
often do: bond.
Executive Producer Jeremy Carver
has acknowledged that Sam and Cas
have been on very similar journeys
throughout Supernatural, so it's nice
to see them finally get an episode to
get even closer (read more spoilers
from Carver about this episode
).
A clip for "First Born" shows us the
lighter side of the duo hanging out
as Sam continues to recover from the
effects of the Demon Tablet trials
(finally!). He arrives back at the
bunker after doing some errands to
find Castiel lamenting about the
difference between tasting food as a
human and as an angel. Later,
Castiel realizes that there's still some
residual grace left inside of Sam and
this grace might be the key to
tracking Gadreel's whereabouts.

Supernatural s Jared Padalecki
Talks Dean and Sam's Big Falling
Out " Plus: Spin-Off Scoop!

http://tvline.com/2014/01/19/supernatural-season-9-spoilers-jared-padalecki-sam-dean-fight/
The
Brothers Winchester are on the
outs, and it could be some time
before they're back in.
In the wake of Dean and Sam's
split in last Tuesday's
Supernatural , Jared
Padalecki predicts that "it's going
to take something big" to bridge
the gulf between them.
"They're handling it as you expect
them to," Padalecki adds of the
conflict. "Sam kind of goes
introverted and Dean goes
forward. Sam is more the kind of
guy that thinks something out and
says, Well, you know, this is
where you messed up [and] this is
why I'm upset.'... It's nice
dichotomy to catch on camera
and, hopefully, Jensen [Ackles]
and I get a chance to do a good
job with it."
Meanwhile, Sam will be dealing
with the residual effects from
Gadreel's stint in his body. "It's
more emotional than literal and
physical, but he certainly is still
feeling the bruises," admits
Padalecki.
The future of Dean and Sam's
relationship may be cloudy, but
the show's outlook remains bright:
Not only is Supernatural a lock to
be renewed for Season 10 , but
a spin-off set in Chicago and
featuring hunter and monster
cultures is in-the-works.
"I think it's great," raves Padalecki
of the offshoot. "Episode 20 [of
Supernatural ] is going to be the
launch of [the] new show, and I
think it's awesome.
"We've seen other shows on our
network be able to have successful
spin-offs," he continues. "I think
it's a cool story to tell.
Supernatural fans have spoken and
said listen, there aren't 100 million
of us, but those of us that do
watch the show are passionate and
want to hear more stories and
read fan fiction and be a part of
this world. So I think it's great.
Anything that makes them happy.
It doesn't put any money in my
pocket, but I think it's cool."

Supernatural Scoop: Jared Padalecki
Talks Sam and Dean 'at Odds,'
Working With Misha Collins

Supernatural's family feud isn't
ending anytime soon.
We chatted with the long-running CW
hit's star Jared Padalecki about the
Winchester brothers' latest fight after
Sam finally gained control of his
body and learned what Dean ( Jensen
Ackles ) had done to save him: let
Ezekiel (but really Gadreel) take up
residence inside his body.
"We're definitely at odds. The show
has built on nine years on the
relationship between the boys, as we
call them on the set," Padalecki
spills. "Obviously, they got to work it
cause they got to continue making
things better in the world."
But the road to reunion (and one of
those beloved Winchester brothers
hug) will be a long and arduous one,
Padalecki says. "There will certainly
be a long road to travel and even as
we shoot today, Sam and Dean aren't
100 percent."
While fans may not love seeing Sam
and Dean at odds, Padalecki enjoys
the tension between the brothers.
"One of the things that I don't like in
TV or movies is when someone is
hurt and it's like, Oh, no that's okay,
let's carry on,'" he explains. "I like to
see, as in reality, people working
through things. Like you know what,
that messed me up so I'm going to
hurt you back and then they kind of
figure out what's what. Like you are
with your family, your friends, your
bosses, people you work with. You
know, it's difficult to just have
someone just go, Okay, give me a
hug.'" So I like that the writers are
having a chance to really delve into
the disagreements Sam and Dean
have."
And the brothers' latest rift has also
impacted someone else: Castiel
( Misha Collins )! Though fans have
often seen the former angel interact
with Dean, Sam chose to go off with
Cas after their fight.
Of working with Collins, Padalecki
jokes, "I hate Misha. I think he
smells and he's weird. Has a weird
accent."
But Padalecki has enjoyed sharing
more scenes with Collins and
exploring the dynamic between Sam
and Castiel.
"I like it a lot. I always talk about"
most of the shows have been Jensen
and Jared, Sam and Dean, so to have
another actor there"and Misha's
been around for a long time,
obviously"but to have another actor
you feel comfortable with and is
talented and brings something else
out of your character...I feel like it's
good for the whole show, the whole
series. And I do love Misha!"

Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers:
Gabriel's Return On The Table,'
Richard Speight Jr. Says, But Only
For A Significant' Reason?

http://www.kpopstarz.com/articles/75483/20140123/supernatural-season-9-spoilers-gabriel-return.htm

"Supernatural" season 9 may see
Gabriel's return, Richard Speight Jr.
teases in a spoiler - but only if
Gabriel returned for a "significant"
reason.
Richard Speight Jr., who played
Gabriel/Trickster on "Supernatural,"
gave a spoiler-filled backstage
interview for the Creation
Entertainment 's Salute to
Supernatural event in Burbank back
in November, TV Equals reports.
When Speight Jr. was asked if he
could foresee Gabriel's return in
"Supernatural" season 9, he seemed
to be excited about the possibility,
but only if it was done for the right
reasons and in the right way.
"The idea of bringing Gabriel back
has been on the table since I left," he
said. "The idea of me coming back,
either as Gabriel or the Trickster of a
combination of both, has been on the
table since [my last episode].
Honestly, because I happen to know
several of the guys who are writers
from other worlds, they tell me all the
time that the character will be up on
the board, there will be something
that is being bandied about,
something they're very serious about
and for whatever reason it doesn't
come to fruition."
But Speight Jr. thinks it wouldn't be
appropriate for Gabriel to just show
up in a cameo.
"Because the character had some
amazing episodes and I got to do
some great stuff, but what that also
means is you can't just breeze into
an episode and deliver some
information and leave," he said.
"When that character comes back it
has to come back in a way that
matters, that is significant, that is
consistent with what the character
has been doing and how dramatic
his appearances have been
previously, and has to have a reason,
it has to matter in the mythology of
the show," Speight Jr. added.
The actor clearly expressed that he
would be eager to return to
"Supernatural" season 9.
"...as much as I want to come back
on the show, I don't want to jump the
shark with the character," he said.
"Supernatural" airs Tuesdays at 9pm
ET on the CW.

'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers:
Misha Collins Prepares To Direct
Episode 17

http://www.enstarz.com/articles/32660/20140124/supernatural-season-9-spoilers-misha-collins-prepares-to-direct-episode-17-photo-jared-padalecki-talks-pranks-video.htm
Supernatural's Misha Collins will be
spending some time in the director's
chair for episode 17.
Collins, who plays Castiel in the hit
CW series, announced last year that
he would be stepping behind the
camera during season 9 but was
unsure when his directorial debut
would take place. A new behind-the-
scenes photo from crewmember Tara
Larsen recently informed fans that
the actor has started to prepare for
his new job.
While Collins spends most of his
time on set dealing with the
problems of heaven and hell and
healing the Winchester brothers, the
actor has quickly realized there are a
multitude of extra details that need to
be considered when directing.
"I was amazed by how much you
have to think about as a director,"
Collins told The Examiner . "As an
actor you don't have to think about
much at all, as it turns out. It's very
easy. And then when you step into
the director's role, there's this whole
universe of stuff that you have to pay
attention to that's amazing to me.
I've been on sets for 13 years, and
there was so much stuff that I never
knew about."
However, there is one detail most
other directors don't have to worry
about that Collins must be wary of -
what ever prank Jared Padalecki
(Sam) and Jensen Ackles (Dean)
have in store for him.
