Article: Jodee kamaal kii (Rupali)

STAR makes the festive season all the more memorable on its favourite weekend show - Jodee Kamaal Kii. STAR Plus brings three bhai-behan together on the dais. Today, these women - Shweta Tiwari, Rupali Ganguly and Shama Sikandar are the most recognized faces on Indian television, but their acts as kids were no less, and like we said earlier… Their brother's are the right people to know more from.

Did you know Swetha Tiwari was a kamchoor, who made her lil' brother do all the work reasoning it out saying… "Those who mess the place must care to clean it up." (But was it always the little one who messed the place….?)

Yeh Meri Life Hai… Was not just what she proclaimed in the serial, Shama Sikandar always had her way out, adamant about where she wanted to be in life - From having made her brother bunk college, be at the receiving end of her temper tantrums, Shama has done all the typical big sister things along with loosing it when he misplaces her things… The third jodi (Rupali and Vijay)'s mother put the result of their combination best, 'She was always the reason why her brother Vijay would do all stupid things'.

Shama Sikandar And Rizwan
With just a little over three years difference, Shama Sikandar and Rizwan's relationship is more of friendship. While Rizwan is Shama's favourite brother among the four and treats him like her son, Rizwan even calls her 'Abba', lovingly.

Despite differences in what they prefer and the way they handle issues: Shama is a complete vegetarian whereas Rizwan is totally otherwise; for a fact that apparently Rizwan never shows his anger at home and Shama has it at the top, they are greatly appreciative when it comes to each other's work. They both criticize each other's work a lot and the best part being that each of them takes that criticism well!

Rupali Ganguly And Vijay
Another elder sister Rupali Ganguly and her brother Vijay are just the two kids at home with three years difference. Vijay is a dance instructor with Shamak Davar and travels extensively around the world (which makes Rupali complain as she hardly ever gets any time to spend with him anymore).

According to their mom the only was to stop them squabbling was by pouring water on them as they always fought like cats and dogs. The catty Rupali was quite a bully at it, as she convinced her brother was picked up from the garbage cans, all of his first five years.

Either it was disowning him or owning him with Rupali… While in school, Rupali being very protective of him would expect Vijay to walk with her back home, Vijay would avoid it because she always embarrassed him with her clumsiness (like walking into trees on her path). When the clumsiness went past, she took on the role of the Director for all their movie cameo games… While Vijay would always dress up as Spiderman or Superman, Rupali would direct the scenes instructing him "do this" and "now do this."

With two budding talents quite on path, till date, we just have to wait to see who will take the actual Director's chair. As Vijay puts it, "Rupali is a trained singer and had she not been in acting... She would have been in direction", Vijay hopes to be a filmmaker and eventually be one on his own terms as his young lad wants to be self-made. One thing that not many people know about Rupali is that she has made over 40 commercials and has also won awards for them too.

Shweta And Nidhaan
This kamchoor of a sister - Shweta, is more giving when it come to gifting her brother, on told that Indian women are lucky as they get many gifts, Shweta says that she gifts her brother on many occasions. Nidhaan was quick to reply that he gets many gifts like - ball-pens, deos… and anything that was cheap and within the budget of Rs. 100/-. And to get truth out of this seemingly innocent brother all that Shweta's has got to do is make him swear upon her.

As a child, Shweta always wanted a baby brother, as soon as Nidhaan was born, she was all happy. But then she realised that all who came to her house to meet them were giving more attention to Nidhaan, she got very angry and told her parents to return him back to the hospital from where he was brought from.

She didn't always want her brother to go away, in an instance as children when the boys in school had many restrictions on their hair-cuts and hair styles Shweta supported him very lovingly and told him we shall see who forces you to cut your hair. He was very happy that she supported him but the next morning when he woke up he was horrified to see one side of his hair chopped off. When he confronted his sister and mother, Shweta very calmly told him that a rat might have come and eaten his hair!

A cat, a rat and what else, these siblings seemed to have lots of fun as kids and did so sharing the fond memories with on Jodee Kamaal Kii, so don't forget to watch the show tonight.
