I am currently "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski and "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov.
Both of them are wonderful, wonderful books... in entirely different ways.
May I suggest Hamlet though, if you haven't yet read it? Back in my freshman year of high school, we read Romeo and Juliet,
and I hated it, considering it was supposed to be a love story. (It
seems more like it's all about lust... but hey, I'm not saying you
shouldn't like it. I wish I could enjoy that one, because I
LOVE
Shakespeare.) But Hamlet was also wonderful. :]
OH. And one last comment... Back in high school, I used to read a bunch
of books at a time, too, despite all of my English teachers telling me
not to. It took me until a year after graduating to discover that they
were right. It really does take away from the reading experience when
you have a lot on your plate, regardless of if you can handle it or not.
