This is an excerpt from interview of film/TV actress Mrinal Kulkarni
"looking at the serials no girl would like to get married or believe in joint families - because every mom-in-law is vile, every husband will have an affair, and basically what is shown is such a flawed family system! This is the beginning of degrading value system. But, the larger and more important thing to remember is that parents encourage this by watching such shows with their children.
The more you watch such serials, the more TRPs and the more such filth is made. And then you complain, which is unfair. People in the TV industry are working on a business model. If things work, they will continue with it, if not, they will stop. Haven't you seen serials going off air? It's only because people don't watch them! In my view, it's the audience who can dictate content on TV...they have this power. They should use it for betterment of content and a better society.
So true - if only audience understood this.
I just felt sad reading about latest TRP of 2613 - this is such a superlative serial with everybody doing such fantastic job. Wish more people watched this instead of the sas bahu sagas.
As for the channel PR people you have to do your bit - WE search and find content about 2613 online or fans load on fb - you should do more and have more repeat telecast during daytime.
Here is wishing 2613 TRPs rise soon, all the best to entire cast and crew you are doing great job
