MANVI'S POV

 

 

"Still in bed?"

"Anywhere else she'd rather be?"

"Aunty you should scold her often."

"jeevika, You know I can't see her sulking."

"ya…Fair enough."she sighed.

"Why don't you try n knock some sense in her??"

"Good joke aunty."

And the giggling starts. I guess this is the picture in our home every morning. I'm guessing because I'm usually blissfully unaware of this drama due to my dear sleep .but today's different.why?because I couldn't sleep the whole freaking night!!!!

"mannu….get up."jeevi pulled the duvet off my head.

"Go away jeevi….i want to sleep."I burrow my face in the pillow.

"We'll get late for college."she pulls me by my hand I get a hold of the duvet.

"I don't wanna go.i want to sleep."i pull the duvet over my head.

"Mannu…get up!!!!Today's important." She warns but do I give a damn? Nope.

 "I don't care. I couldn't sleep the whole night." as soon as I finish the duvet goes flying off me.

"WHAT!!!Manvi Chowdhury had a sleepless night? This should be on today's news. Lem'me go n check." her tone chaffed.

Irritated I get up. "shut up!!! I'm up."

 

 

VIRAT'S POV

 

At last the nature has shown some mercy and it's morning. I was up all night, restless , tossing and turning….. with her invading my thoughts.

She's bad for my health. I cent percently need to stay away from her.

I look at the sticky note on the headboard. I've made a to do list.

 

To do list

1. Don't look at her.

2. Don't talk to her.

3. Avoid her in every possible way.

 

I need to follow this.

On the way I tell jeevi everything that had happened after she'd left and also what happened at the restaurant.

"I screamed at him for no reason. "I yawn. Crap. Now I'm sleepy.

"mannu,don't stress it.Just say sorry to him."

"You think it's a good idea? "Me? Saying sorry? To him?

"Have any better one to get yourself out of this grumpy mood?"

Nope. "Ok I'll apologize."I'm such a pushover. I yawn again.

I see him standing near the caf, sipping on coffee occasionally.looks like he's trying hard to remember something.

"Jeevi…do we have any quiz today?"

"No.why?"

"Look over there. He looks funny."I start laughing holding my stomach.

"99% people look funny to you."

"N 99% people think I'm funny. Ya ya…I get it. Don't you think you should come up with something new?"I roll my eyes.

"Mannu!!!Why r u here?" jeevi admonishes.

"To apologize to that now-funny-Vadhera."

"So what you should be doing now?"

"Right."i take a deep breath n start walking towards his direction.

Virat pathetic Vadhera I hate you. Why so attitude?

May be he didn't hear me.

Naa….that's not possible. My voice was loud enough.

 

I stomp my way to the classroom. I can see jeevi following me from the corner of my eyes. I am too enraged to talk to her. Why she had to force me to apologize to that moron?

I will not apologize. I'm never gonna apologize. If he can show attitude then so can i. Period.

"Virat attitude Vadhera…I'm not apologizing. "I mutter under my breath.

"Whom are you kidding Mannu? Will you be able to rest in peace if you don't do that?" crap. She heard that. I swear I wasn't loud this time.

Point. I hate u jeevika.You know me too well.

"And on top of that you had a crush on that Vadhera." really now?

"Jeevi…I HAD…."

"I know I know past tense." She rolled her eyes n walks into the classroom.

That evil little brat. I want to put her across my knees and spank her hard.

I just don't know why everyone on earth is hell bent on teasing me???I'm just a poor soul. How much more will I have to endure?

I sigh and walk into the classroom.

What would've gone wrong if I'd heard her out? She called me by my name. For the first time ever.

My name never sounded better before. Hmm…I do have a nice name.

 

What did she wanted to say? Was she gonna apologize?

The thought made me smile widely.

The more I'm trying to stay away from her…..the more I am getting into her. And this feeling is freaking the living daylight out of me.

 

I hear the bell ringing.so I hurry to the class.

 

"And on top of that you had a crush on that Vadhera."

"Jeevi…I HAD…."

"I know I know past tense."

 

SHE HAD A CRUSH ON ME!!!!I stop dead at my track.

My lips curved into a smile. And then I frowned.

She had a crush on me n now she's over me. Should I be happy or should I be sad? This is a good thing or a bad thing? Wait why does it matter to me anyway? I'm going crazy. I should find a suitable surface to bang my head on.

MANVI'S POV

 

"Mannu!!!"I muffle a protest when Jeevi nudges me. Where was I? IN THE CLASS!!!

Crap.I'm caught napping.

"Ah..ha…we have another sleepy head in our class." he points his chin towards the last bench. I look back and…do I really need to see this??HE's sound asleep with his head on the desk.

"Manvi…go wake him up." Double crap. Why me??

 

"Hey!!Wake up!!"I poke him with a pen.

He raises his head and grudgingly opens one eye scrunching his nose. He shakes his head as if in disbelief and nestles his head in his arms again.

What the hell!!!I poke him again. This time with all my might. "Wake up u moron."

"Oouch!!!WHAT??"He's alarmed when he registers the surroundings. "SHIT!!!"

Oh ya… now he wakes.

He struggles to stand up and but finally manages.

"You two!!Go n bring the last project files from the staff room."Mr. Khan screeches n Virat follows me as I make my way out of the classroom.

Triple crap!!!Why oh god why???

"You fell asleep too?" he's by my side now n in 'tease Manvi' mode.

"SHUT UP!!!"

I stride along the corridor and reach the staff room. Furiously I pick up all the files alone. Boy they're heavy. I can't manage carrying them alone and I can't say this to that stupid Vadhera and give him another chance to tease me.

"Give me those. You just walk ahead." he's sweet???

He takes all the files from me. And like that all my fury is gone.

"Virat…I'm sorry for my earlier behavior. Not just for today but for last night as well. I don't know why I get all hyper when I see you.no actually last night I was hell irritated for everything you did and whatever 'A' said. And that rain…"I look up and stop talking. He's staring at me. I don't think he's listening to any of the thing I'm saying. He looks….lost.

"What?" I snap him out of his oblivion.

"You…you have terrible eyes. Put some glasses on." he fumbles and then walks ahead.

I stay rooted in my place in shock. Are my eyes that horrific?

"You coming?" he stops in his tracks.

"Coming." I shake my head and follow after him. I don't think I'll ever understand him. Whatever.

 

 

 

Virat hands the files over to Mr. Khan and we then go back to our seats.

"Congrats Manvi"Jeevi teases.

"Huh?"I raise my eyebrows.

"Sir has just announced the groupings for the project. Virat is your partner."

"What??!!!"I turn back and find Virat looking back at me, he's mirroring my own expression. Shock!!!

"Any problem ,Manvi?" Mr. Khan enquires.

"No..no sir everything's perfect." huh!!!So damn perfect. I bang my head on the desk.

 

"Jeevi can we go shopping today?" I lift my head and whisper ask Jeevi.

"Sure. When?"she's whispering too.

"After college."

"Sure."

We are briefed about all the possible aspects of the project and are asked to present the basic ideas by the day after.

After a long hour of the briefing our class ends.

I was putting my notebook in the satchel when I hear him.

"Listen. We'll meet up tomorrow at sharp 8am. Be on time. I don't do late." He's all bossy. I turn towards him.

Attitude...huh? See u at 9 then. I don't do punctual. Me n punctual? Dream on.

"Are u smirking at me?" he narrows his eyes at me.

"No. Why would I do that?"Crap. I don't think he bought that.

"Anyways. See u tomorrow." He shrugs n walks away. I stick my tongue out at his direction.

A whole month of pure unadulterated torture coming ahead!!!Isn't my life just wonderful???

manvi sleepless night coz of virat looks like someone affected her 😉
poor manvi tried saying sorry killing her ego just for her beauty sleep but that guy was soo lost in his mantra 😆 and he also got to know that she had a little crush on her dude yu shud be upset coz she had crush now its all gone so yu got to work harder 😛
