Scene 1
In front of the Court
The journalists interview the people standing nearby for their opinion about Prithvi, a wanted serial killer. Angry public demand the hanging of Prithvi. The police van arrives and Prithvi is being taken towards the court, when someone shoots him and he is dead.
CID arrives
Daya and Freddy get a clear description of the incident from the police officers who were present during the murder. Dr.Salunke finds the entry wound on the back of Prithvi's body, which means someone must have shot from behind. Daya asks Freddy and Purvi to check the video footage taken by the various news channel representatives who were present at the spot. They find Prithvi being shot from behind but are not able to see anyone in the crowd.
Daya and Vineet interrogate Prithvi's lawyer and his wife. They seem to know nothing about the culprit. The wife was upset but at the same time felt it was apt for a criminal like Prithvi. The question that strike their minds were the fact that Prithvi would have been hanged very soon, then why would someone want to kill him right before that?
Freddy and Purvi come and inform Daya that the bullet was shot from the direction of a residential building. They decide to go and check the building for more details.
Scene 2
Forensic Lab
Dr.Salunke and Tarika do the post-mortem of the dead body. The bullet(7.622 mm) was shot from a rifle or a sniper, of the type that is usually used by army men and police officers. So they assume it to be an illegally obtained rifle. Also, Salunke adds that the bullet was shot from a large distance and from a height. ACP says that it must have been some sharp shooter. He asks Rajat to get information about the sale of such rifles illegally.
Scene 3
Abhijeet visits the jail where Prithvi had been staying since the last 2 years. The jailor says that Prithvi was an introvert and didn't have much friends here. Right then, one of the prisoners collapses. The officers rush towards him and also the doctor arrives but they find him dead. The jailor tells that his name was Vinod. Abhijeet notices his skin turning blue and predict the reason of murder to be poisoning.
Scene 4
ACP, Shreya and Nikhil visit the residential buildings near the court. They go the only building left in the area and find the watchman sleeping. They wake him up and ask him if he was sleeping in the morning too when the murder had taken place. But says that he had gone to drink tea in the morning. ACP points to one of the flats on the top floor of the building and asks the watchman if he knows the resident of the flat. The watchman says that it belongs to Rakesh. ACP asks him if Rakesh would be available at his house now, to which he says he usually leaves for work in the morning but he hasn't seen him leaving for work today. They visit the house. When no one opens the door, ACP asks Nikhil to break the door. On entering they hear someone's voice and start looking for the person. They find Rakesh , with his hands tied and mouth shut with tape, in the bathroom. Nikhil and ACP help him untie and ask him for the details. ACP finds an injury mark on the back of his head. Rakesh tells them that someone came to his house in the morning, hit him on his head, tied him and locked him up in the bathroom. He was wearing a mask and so he could not see his face. On the other side, Shreya finds a bullet shell in the bedroom, near the window from where the court was clearly visible. ACP too checks the view from the window and confirms that the bullet must have been shot from there. ACP asks Rakesh if he remembers anything specific about the man to which he replies that the man must have been 5.5 feet tall weighing same as him and was wearing brown velvety shows. ACP says that it must have been sweat leather shoes.
Scene 5
Rajat and Vineet take a disguise of criminals and visit a place where deals of illegal weapons take place. They enquire about the type of rifle that was used in the crime and offer the man to buy 12 of such rifles. The man tells them that the weapons he sells are up to the mark. He adds that he had sold one such rifle few days back. When Vineet asks him about the person who had bought it, he refuses say anything and Rajat and Vineet take out their guns. At the same time, the rest of the team enters( as Rajat had informed them via sending a message through a device connected to his leg). The man confesses that someone with a beard, wearing a hat and with goggles had come to buy the rifle. The mad had also told him that it was his favourite rifle and it had saved his life once upon a time. Rajat predicts that it must have been a retired army officer.
Scene 6
CID Bureau
Rajat informs ACP that according to Dr.Salunke's report Vinod died of poison. Purvi enters with the details of Prithvi's crime records. He had murdered one girl whose father belonged to the army. His name was Left. Cornel Vijay Kumar.
Scene 7
Abhijeet, Purvi and Pankaj break open the door at Vijay Kumar's house. They find Vijay's dead body on a chair and a gun in his hand. It seemed as if he had committed suicide. They also find a suicide note saying that he had taken a revenge against his daughter's murderer. The rifle was also found in the wardrobe. However, Abhijeet notices the photos hanged to the wall and find Vijay Kumar to be left handed. He explains to Pankaj that if he had been left handed he would have shot himself with his left hand. However, the gun lies in his right hand. They suspect it to be a murder.
Scene 8
CID Bureau
Pankaj tells ACP that Vijay had received many calls from a number on the day before his murder. However, the number belonged to a fake sim card ("Khaancha card") and the card is out of service now which makes it untraceable. Purvi comes with the information that the previous month Vijay had transferred a large sum of money to an account in Germany and from there to an account in Russia and from there to somewhere else. Rajat adds that Prithvi's brother in law Gautam used to work with Vijay in the army. Also, Gautam had been bankrupt since many days. However, the last week he paid back all his loans and also bought a new flat.
Scene 9
At the jail, Abhijeet comes to know that VInod and Prithvi were cell mates. They were very good friends. Abhijeet asks the officer if he had hear them talk about something suspicious during their stay. He informs that the night before Prithvi's death, they seemed to be very happy about something. They were reading something in the newspaper which had made them very happy. Also, the officer remembers them talking about something hidden in the office.
Scene 10
Rajat and Nikhil search Prithvi's office. They find a secret compartment and a small briefcase in it. There was a gun, some photographs and a newspaper cutting inside it. The newspaper cutting was 12 years old, about a case where there was an encounter of police and people associated with a drug racket. 3 of them were caught at the encounter.
Scene 11
ACP, Shreya and Nikhil visit Gautam's house. Gautam tries to escape but Nikhil catches him. He confesses that he had taken Rs. 10 lakhs from Vijay for the murdering Prithvi, however, he didn't kill Prithvi as he cannot shoot. He shows them his hand which was injured almost an year back in a road accident. He says he can also show the medical reports if needed. ACP shows them the photographs found at Prithvi's officers. However, Gautam refuses to recognise any of them.
Scene 12
CID Bureau
CID tries to connect the 12 year old case with Prithvi's case. Purvi informs ACP that one of the 4 members of the drug racket had surrendered and helped the police to catch the rest of the gang. She shows the photograph of the 4 gang members and something strikes ACP. He asks Purvi to scan the photograph and asks her to edit the photo as he says. At the end of it, they are shocked to find that it was none other than Prithvi himself. They conclude that Prithvi must have left the field of crime and had shifted to a common life 12 years ago with a new name and new face. Purvi suggests that the other gang members must have killed him to take their revenge. Right then, Rajat enters with the news that the 3 of them( Prithvi's gang members) had died 3 days before Prithvi's death. He also adds that this was the same news which had made Prithvi and Vinod happy the night before their death. ACP asks him to find details about Prithvi's past life.
Scene 13
Prithvi's lawyer informs his wife that his property has been
left for her. However, she refuses to accept them as Prithvi had earned them by
his criminal activities. On insisting she tells him to start a trust and
transfer the money there which would be doing good to the society. The lawyer
leaves and ACP arrives with his team. He asks her if she had any idea of
Prithvi's past. She refuses to know anything at all about him being in any drug
racket case. However, she adds that prithvi had once told her that he had
hidden something in their house that would have all the answers to her
questions. ACP asks his team to search the house. Shreya finds a mysterious old
fashioned box. She tries to open it but is not able to. Before she could break
it, Prithvi's son comes and shows her the way to unlock the box. They find a
key and a sheet of paper inside it. There were some letters written on the
paper. The son says that the letters written in some sort of cryptographic
codes. Shreya had some knowledge of the coding and so deciphers the message. It
was the locker number at a particular vault.
Scene 14
ACP, Rajat and his team find a letter inside the vault. They realize that Prithvi was being blackmailed in order to falsely confess that the crimes were done by him. If he didn't do so, his past would be known to all and his family's life would have been He was also being followed everywhere and so he could not let his family know the truth either. Right then, ACP notices someone pointing a gun towards them from the terrace. They shoot at him before he could do so and chase him. Once caught, they unmask him and are shocked to find Prithvi's lawyer.
Confession : He confesses that he was the real culprit. He had killed Prithvi, Vijay and all the other girls for whose murder Prithvi was supposed to be hanged. Once in drunk condition, prithvi had told him all about his past. So, he blackmailed Prithvi that he would inform his old companions who would then come and kill all his family. Thus, in order to save his family, he took the blame of the murders upon himself. However, when he had come to know about the death of his 12 year old companions, he had decided to confess at the court. Before he could do that, he had to kill Prithvi. He adds that Prithvi didn't know that it was his own friend cum lawyer who was the one behind all this. He used to blackmail on phone. That's why Prithvi had appointed him as his lawyer for the case. He had to murder Vinod also because Prithvi had told Vinod everything and so he meant danger to him. ACP gives the phaansi dialogue !!
