Indra's deeds are indeed shameful. Surely he must have done SOMETHING good at some point - I hope we will get to see some of these, too (not to redeem him, because that isn't possible - just so we see both sides).
With Indra's insecure behaviour and Jalandhar's current righteousness (wanting equality etc), I was reminded of something I once heard someone say in another mythological show.
It was about how we are really defined by our deeds and thoughts and the way we live our lives, rather than the family/society we are born into (which I agree with completely) - one of the characters was giving an example of this by saying (something like) "asuro mein devta hain Prahlad, aur devtao mein asur hain Indra" (Prahlad was akin to a devta even though he was born in an asur family, and Indra was akin to an asur even though he was born a devta). I can't remember the exact dialogue but I really liked that bit and I hope someone will say something similar in DKDM at some stage! Now would be a really good time, with Jalandhar not being evil yet.
