Some times when i watch lord indra and the devatas(agni vayu surya dev ) I feel im watching some cartoon network show. Plz dont mind but its true.

Lord indra calls himself as king of gods but his deeds do they really suit that position? whether its trying to burn ma parvati during her penance b4 marriage or brainwashing kartikeya out of insecurity or killing asuras who are in penance indra has proved time and again that he's nothing less evil than the asuras

n when indra has some threat to his life then he and his cartoon gang run to vishnu ji for help n there they pass snide comments on other devatas. his comments are more laughable than wicked.🤣

i perceive him just like one greedy politician who can go to any extent to save his chair. I dont know how may ppl are aware but "delhi" was once called "indraprastha" mean the kingdom of lord indra. so it shows that delhi has been the seat of power since the time of lord indra itself. the "swarg lok" might be delhi itself who knows. .n lol his deeds during samudra manthan.  the way he tricked asuras and grabbed the tail of the serpant really he's one mastermind politician. he can give the corrupt politicians a run for their money🤣

n devatas running all over swarg lok when the musician turned rat went haywire(he's ganesha's vehicle now i suppose) was laughable🤣 i felt as if i was watching tom and jerry with jerry chasing all the toms in swarg lok 🤣

n lord indra's killing of matsyakanya shows how evil he can get. i mean asuras are expected to be evil.  but the king of devatas so much evil really i cant believe it.

Nice post!

Indra's deeds are indeed shameful. Surely he must have done SOMETHING good at some point - I hope we will get to see some of these, too (not to redeem him, because that isn't possible - just so we see both sides).

With Indra's insecure behaviour and Jalandhar's current righteousness (wanting equality etc), I was reminded of something I once heard someone say in another mythological show.

It was about how we are really defined by our deeds and thoughts and the way we live our lives, rather than the family/society we are born into (which I agree with completely) - one of the characters was giving an example of this by saying (something like) "asuro mein devta hain Prahlad, aur devtao mein asur hain Indra" (Prahlad was akin to a devta even though he was born in an asur family, and Indra was akin to an asur even though he was born a devta). I can't remember the exact dialogue but I really liked that bit and I hope someone will say something similar in DKDM at some stage! Now would be a really good time, with Jalandhar not being evil yet.

Thankfully Arjun took after his mother!
And he had his brothers and Shri Krishna to get him back in line if he ever went nuts! (sangat ka asar!)

Good post dear.
But they have totally gone wrong with the portrayal of Jallu.

the mulicolored asuras look more dumb they don't deserve a post also😆
n ya they r portraying J as psycho. whats up with those tattoos n all i dont understand. he doesnt look normal to me.

but its indra and devatas who look comic to me. they r live cartoons🤣  remember that scene ryt where indra had a dream in which kartikeya was made the king. 🤣 that was really laughable. 🤣

I feel his eyes as if they are trying to read minds.. too deep a stare which may seem psycho to few. Rest he is doing well.. the character is still in its nascent stage.. Like I wrote sumwhr before.. Jallandhar is portrayed more of a socialist.. the evil within him lurks but does not come untill he gets to the pinnacle of power and position😊

thats coz jallu is afterall a part of mahadev himself. he's not a born asura even though shukracharya has made him like that. so there r good qualities in him too. but yes as u said when he reaches the peak of his power he will turn evil n corrupt. that will happen when he conquers swarg lok and then challanges mahadev himself.

exactly.. for Jallandhar due to his company will not be able to handle the responsibilities that come with power... he'll lose way.. this is where the difference between Mahadev and Jallandhar comes in. Although J is Mahadev's ansh.. but unlike Mahadev, he does'nt kno how to balence power and responsibility..
