As for people saying 'oh she's being melodramatic, what was she crying for, it's not like he was her boyfriend she's just a stupid obsessed fan, why was she glad her dad didn't stand up for himself she's just weird'.
Well maybe she was in shock?
It's like when I was about 15/16, My parent's brother and I went for a day out and decided to hit Oxford Street. While we were there about 50 odd people naked (the only thing covering them was green paint) and sitting on bikes streaked through the street. I saw it, started crying and legged it into a shoe shop. Yea to you that might sound funny, or stupid but for me it was a natural reaction because I was in shock; I was young, innocent, had never seen anything like that before, and was quite frankly disgusted and scarred by it. I remember once they were gone my mum had to force me out of that shop, I was too scared to come out cause I though they might still be there. My point: when your in shock you cry.
Also another time, this group of white people stopped me and my fam when we where walking out of the cinema and started throwing racist abuse at both my parents. My brother was really little at the time and was getting upset and close to tears, I was trying to calm and I remember the one thing that was on my mind was 'I hope my parents don't retaliate, I hope they just walk away' because I was shit scared about what those people could do to us. Yes I was aware of the laws in England, I was aware we weren't in the wrong, but I didn't want my parents to get hurt, and in my mind the only way they wouldn't get hurt was if they didn't retaliate. Again, it was panic speaking. Afterwards I was berating myself for thinking that way but at the time I was scared.
Some of you just aren't being realistic at all. If it did happen, I can understand her reactions.
I explained the same thing about shock on page 37 of this thread. People are not being rational here. I think what the girl said is generally true. When stars go to different countries they do party, they get drunk, they go all out. It's normal. Many of us have probably done all this on vacation too. So why are people saying that the girl is lying? Why is it so hard to believe that a celebrity can get drunk and completely lose it? They are human too.
Ranbir is known to be a player so if he had escorts in his room then really why is it hard to believe ? He is a single guy, he is living it up. Btw. Brothels have become legal over here. Most high class escort services cater to businessmen and celebrities. The girl's dad was probably wise enough to realize that Ranbir and his friends had escorts in their rooms. On top of that these guys were given a chance to get it on with non-Indian escorts, of course they tapped that! They are men after all. They are desi men!
I would like to add that this girl seemed to have been a huge Ranbir fanatic. I myself adore Ranbir as an actor, I admit to disliking Anushka but point is, all this is believable because after all it is the entertainment industry and Ranbir is a certified player and party animal. It's true we do not know what the girl's dad did. It's possible the girl didn't even see how it started out, she has simply told what she saw and that means she isn't lying. I agree that the girl was melodramatic but we already know she was a huge fan. The stuff she wrote seems to be true, she has no reason to lie, this was her personal blog where she could pen down her feelings, blow off steam. I doubt she wanted to slander his name on purpose. Yes the melodrama was too much but I don't blame her considering I have seen the unhealthy fanaticism on Indiaforums itself.
Ranbir is old now that he should not be doing this stuff. I mean time to grow up dude! Pull yourself together!
Also, I am glad this girl experienced this. She learned to not look up to such people. She now knows that she should idealize better human beings, people who actually deserve her adulation. People who would in turn make her a better person. She learned a valuable life lesson. Much needed reality check.
