Now I'll tell you about the Shri Krishna—Jambavati—Jambavant—Swamantak gem incident.

However, this incident actually starts in Treta, when Lord Ram, along with everyone at Ayodhya, & his nitya bhakts like Sugreev etc. were returning to Saket.

At that time, Jambavant too asked Lord to take him to Saket.

Raghunath told him wait here on earth till the end of Dwapar, when he will return to earth, & then he will send jambavant to the eternal, never-changing abode.

Now towards the end of Dwapar, there was a very wealthy man in Dwarka named Satrajit.

He got that huge gem fixed in a necklace, and when he used to roam around Dwarka, it looked as if Sun has descended from the sky & is roaming on Earth; such was the shine of that gem.
