I also really want to know but I don't have any guesses but it could be that Kaira misunderstood and thought that Nanaji is having an affair like you mentioned but really it's all a misuderstanding - hopefully.

Most likely has to do with naniji's death, that will explain why she doesnt seem too fond of hospital either!
