I just had an idea. What if, just for a while, they really give us "Devon Ke Dev - Jalandhar" ? I was thinking how they could extend this track. It would be difficult given that Mohit will be playing a double role and it's already time-consuming playing Mahadev.
Then it me. We know that the creatives are not making Jalandhar the typical villain. He probably won't be totally evil. He will have more of a righteous cause here, making him sort of the angry young man of mythology. 😎 So then...what if Mahadev actually gives him a chance, as a test if you will, to take his place (which is what Jalandhar is claiming to do in the promo) at least for a while? Remember, Jalandhar is no random demon but a product of Shiva's energy. So why not give him a shot?
Mahadev then retires somewhere while Jalandhar takes over his duties. He remakes Kailash in his image, complete with his own Nandi and gan-pret.
They could then stretch this track for quite some time. Even the show's montage could be changed to show Jalandhar with the word "Mahadev" in the title being erased and replaced with "Jalandhar". 😈
This way, Mohit would actually be playing one role because Mahadev would not be appearing for a while. He would just play Jalandhar who in his overconfidence thinks he can take Mahadev's place. Of course he will discover it's not an easy job. Hilarity ensues. 😆
