Salman would've flopped if Dabangg was his debut - Page 2

I agree with Jackie here...If Salman had debuted with Dabangg 1 or 2, Ready or Bodyguard...he would have flopped badly...all these movies are total bakwaas but there were ATBBs and BBs because of Salman being the established star now...and why only Salman...anyone SRK or Aamir or Akshay would have flopped if they had debuted with these movies...Its not about Salman...its about doing a bakwaas movie when u have no starpower...

Dabangg is enjoyable but it is tailored specifically for Salman's current persona. The young Salman from MPK days wouldn't have been able to do it. Also this sort of light, spoofy masala is a current trend. It wouldn't have worked back then.

All the salman fans had me believing otherwise on this forum. 😡

I said "light spoofy masala". The 80s trend was hardcore masala, the likes of which we don't really see today.

I don't like Dabang series. Salman's films of the 90's era are way better than these crap. So yeah I agree with this guy.
