The music was amazing other than that the story was pathetic and ridiculous. Aishwariya was terrible in the movie and her emotional scenes were amusing. Akshay Khanna was good but he was let down with a bad script.

Mostly everyone in that movie overacted. But the story was alright and music was great. =D

Every Bollywood movie is technically a musical but only a few live up to that title. Taal was truly a musical and it was a beautiful one. Aishwarya in the song "Taal se taal mila" was simply gorgeous! I was a little girl then but I would beg my parents to take me to watch Aishwarya's movies because I thought she so beautiful and graceful. There's never been a face like Aishwarya.

The one thing I disliked was Anil Kapoor. I understand his character was supposed to be loud sometimes but he over-acts in anything! Never liked him in any movie though so I could just be biased.

Also loved ash's intro! She was amazing with her Dance moves! and The music is still so fresh after more then a decade.
