Chapter 1
Khushi had never felt so alone in her life. She slumped against the headboard of the bed, pulling her knees to her chest. She waited for the tears that made her eyes shine, but she was left disappointed.
She couldn't make herself cry. Her eyes, which once twinkled with mischief, were now blankly staring at the wall.
Khushi flinched when the doors to her room burst open. She knew it was him. She could feel his presence anywhere.
She tried to hide herself within the sheets of blanket, but she knew it was no use. She could not hide herself from his probing eyes, they followed her every move.
Arnav's eyes were furious as they watched his new bride squirm on his bed. His mind was compelled by the hate he felt for this woman, and it gave him great pleasure to see her this frightened.
He loathed her existence. He wanted to hurt her more than he wanted to breathe. He wanted to see her beg and plead; he wanted to see her in pain.
Arnav knew what he was going to do to her. Even though Khushi's presence repelled him, he was going to mark her as his forever, so that she could no longer seduce other men. He was going to make her pay for all her mistakes, and he was not going to be gentle.
In one swift motion, Arnav crossed the distance between him and his bed, where Khushi sat in her bridal dress. He grabbed her and pushed her down on the bed, causing Khushi to gasp out in surprise.
Khushi shook beneath him, afraid of him and his power. He was pressing his body against hers, and she knew what was to come next. Khushi's refused to look at Anrnav, she didn't want him to see the fear that was evident in her eyes.
"Are you going to try and stop me?" Khushi flinched at the sound of his threatening voice.
She closed her eyes and her lips quivered. Khushi's heart was too broken to even care anymore, so she did not bother replying.
she stayed silent, because she knew that she was now his wife now and he had the right to do whatever he wanted with her body.
Arnav smirked at Khushi's silence. Arnav would not have forced himself on Khushi if she had protested, but he knew that she would not. She was now his wife, and Arnav was going to take full advantage of that.
Khushi didn't speak one word during the entire process. She didn't respond to his touches, she didn't move under him and she didn't even move her gaze. She stared at the ceiling the entire time, letting Arnav take control of her body.
She felt sharp stings of pain every now and then, but she did not give Arnav the satisfaction of watching her suffer through this. She knew she would be hurting in many places tomorrow, but she kept her vow of silence as he claimed her body with his.
Once Arnav finished with her, he searched her eyes for any tears. When he found no evidence of the pain that he had caused her just now, he grew angry.
He grabbed her by her thin shoulders and dragged her out of his bed, determined to humiliate her even further.
He threw his new bride on the floor of his bedroom, watching with a smirk as her naked body fell by the door.
"Did you think that I would let you sleep on the bed with me? Girls like you are not worthy enough of a bed. From now on, you'll sleep on the floor." He spat and proceeded to get back into his bed.
Khushi spent her Suhaag Raat shivering on the floor. Her eyes were closed, but sleep refused to come.
She was haunted by the thoughts of her future, which now involved her newfound husband. All she could do was pray to her god, and let her heart weep just as much as it wanted to.
Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada had just witnessed the beginning of the torture that she would have to endure, and she was unaware of the horrific hell that Arnav planned to push her into.
