To Check The Existence Of Life On Other Celestial Bodies, We Check For The Presence Of Water.

W A T E R

We drink it, We wash with it,
We swim in it, We cook with it.

70 percent of our body is made up of water!
75 percent of the Earth is covered by water!

No Water, No Life.

Then why do most of us take water for granted?

' Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out. For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.'

Why does ice float on water?
Why is water a liquid at room temparature?
Why is water the universal solvent?

Isn't this three-atomic molecule a wonder?

Every 20 seconds, a child dies due to water scarcity.

Water Scarcity affects One in Every Three people over the Globe. The situation is getting worse.

One fifth of the Global Population lives in places where water is physically scarce. Another one fourth in places where fetching water is a problem due to poor infrastructure.

More than 10% of the Global Population feeds on food irrigated by waste water. Before you munch on that burger next time, think who and where watered the lettuce plant - Was the water used clean?

More people in the world have a mobile phone than a toilet.

Today, we are living in an age where water is abundant, but much of it goes waste.

It may be surprising but the place in India which receives the maximum rainfall faces the problem of water scarcity.

Is there no way in which the situation can be reversed?

Are we really heading towards a time where more people would die due to scarcity of water than of diseases and age?

Is it true that the Third World War would take place over the issue of water - The most abundant compound on the surface of the Earth? Can nothing be done?

Water is a very precious resource and we should use it wisely.

We must learn to save water now for the future. It is a very important resource. Without it we cannot imagine what life would be like. It is the foundation of food and life.

It helps to preserve our environment.

It reduces the energy needed to process and deliver water, hence pollution is reduced

Saving water now minimizes the effects of water shortages i.e. drought

It means future generations have an adequate supply of water

Saving water means saving money

Take a short shower instead of having a bath

Run your clothes and dish washers only when they are full

Fix indoor and outdoor leaks to save water and ensure you fasten the tap after use properly

Soak pans and pots instead of letting the water run while you clean them

Water your plants deeply but less frequently and only when necessary. More plants die due to over-watering rather than under-watering

Close the tap when brushing your teeth

Wash your car on the lawn so you water the lawn at the same time

Avoid flushing your toilet unnecessarily

Store drinking water in refrigerator instead of letting the tap run each time you refill a glass of water

Don't use running water to defrost food. Put it in the refrigerator instead

Do your bit for the environment! Save water and encourage others to save water too. Today's actions will help form a better future! It's in your hands now!

Amidst money, family and everything that people think is important, One truly cannot survive without Water.

I pray everyone realizes the importance of it and starts preserving instead of polluting.
