She was running further and further away. Every footstep echoed in the dark night. She kept looking behind her with a nervous look on her face in-case somebody was following. And true it was. He had been after her since she left. "Helena! Helena!" she heard him shout through the forest. Her feet carried her deeper into the woods and still deeper. His pace was quickening. He was nearing.
She shrieked as she tripped over a root and it cluttered to the floor. There was dead silence. She heard faint running steps growing louder by the minute, coming towards her and tried to get up, but alas! She had hurt her ankle badly. She tried moving towards her mother's diadem but the pain. Oh, the pain! She could not bear it and cried out in agony. She lay there shivering and sweaty, waiting for him to find her.
With a wild look in his eyes, he came towards her. His brain gone insane from looking for her day and night without rest for several months. He came towards her with a dagger in his hand. Then in a gentle voice he said, "Helena dear, where have you been? Leaving me alone like that, huh? What were you thinking?" he took a pittiful look at her. "I'm afraid my dear you will have to pay!" and with one look at her pleading eyes he drove the dagger through her stomach and a with a piercing shriek Helena Ravenclaw died.
Realising what he had done, his eyes grew wide. He fell down on his knees and cried at the sky. "How could I have done this?!"
After a few minutes of mourning he seemed to have an idea.
He nodded.
"I made her pay. Now I must pay too."
These were the words he said before driving the dagger covered in the blood of a Ravenclaw, through his own heart. His robes being splattered with blood. He lay there dead, along with his sweetheart.
