One thing has struck me from the start about MEIEJ.
The Male Lead is a Hero .. living larger than life with a larger than life ego ( donno wht else is larger 😉 ) RK should come with a size warning
Female lead is normal... an every day girl I can relate to on most levels. Madhu is passionate but the fires are kept banked most times.
In face except for Roma all the females are dignified. Radha and Padmini are two faces for a quintessential 70's / 80's Mom. Trishna's exuberance is due to youth but she too is pretty even keel. WHat to say about the two females who keep MEIEJ going... Madhubala and Dipali. Both radiate quite confidence. Neither are over the top emotional or shrewish ,
Contrast this with the men. RK toh RK hai ... Living large .. habbits and in emotional too. Then there is Bittu .. Loud dress , Sikky and Kukku ( What names 😆 ) really over the top characterisation. Only male veering on normalcy is Shamsheer but he too has his emotional PMS. Remember the over the top emotions post his return from hospital.
This is in such a contrast to other serials where women cast os over the top and males are one with the wall paper.
