Fanfiction In The Spotlight .2.

- p u b l i c e n e m y -

A story of Arnav & Khushi that has over 200 readers hooked! This story was started way back in July of last year and is still on going, currently, on it's fourth thread!

Kalarikkal House

When/How did you come up with the concept for this story?

What was your first story on IF?

What about writing do you like most?

What's one thing you dislike about writing on IF?

If the
re was something the DT could do to make the lives of writers easier, what would it be?

Who is your favourite writer on IF? Favourite story?

Is there another story you might be writing soon? If so, do you have something to say about it?

Do you have a message for your readers or IF members in general?

Congratulations! Big smile

-FF DT [SuhanaSafar, Souro & Angel-Jot.]

Though I am not a regular reader of this FF, I do have an idea whats going on. D, you already know that your writing is top notch and you are generally awesome so saying it again would be redundant. :-)

I am so impressed with the kind of detail you put into your writing. I am at awe at the amount of time you spend to get a dialogue written so that it fits the character, the circumstance and a context.
I just want your readers to know the fondness you have for accuracy of facts, backgrounds, environment, culture, politics, education and everything that goes on in your FF so that the story is set in a real environment with realistic portrayal of daily life. This helps the readers to visualize it better and be a party of story with a sense of familiarity. And though you don't have first hand information about few of the things here, you do go out of your way to find out the facts and incorporate them in your FF. Seriously D, that's an amazing level of commitment.

This FF transcends over cultures and takes you into a land far, far away. Once you are there, the characters we have seen on screen take a very long walk and we are treated with characters with much layered complexity and depth. What can I say D, your characters are always so deliciously flawed and complex that its hard not to get hooked on to them. I have to tear myself away so that I don't get influenced by it too much!

Many congratulations for a much deserved spot light.

And I happened to drop by FanFiction forum to find one of my favorite writers in the Spotlight...

Given that Sooks has already stolen most of my words, I'm going to start with 'Congrats, D!'

I understand that the Spotlight is for Kalarrikal house, but I cannot help bring up the FF that put me in touch with your writing: Love and Despair - a piece of transcendent writing. And then comes the evergreen characters that you create out of the dusty soap artists. I have watched two or three episodes of Shiv/Gauri and Gaurav/Vidya in their respective roles. But, I'm certain I wouldn't have taken notice of them had they not been shaped to become entire personalities in your stories.

And then there are names which mean nothing, if not named after your characters for they don't exist elsewhere. Tara, Jeevan, Shashank ;)

Your attention to detail and the timing in your dialogues deserve a worthy mention. Thank you for letting me contribute to your canvas of creation; however insignificant, I enjoyed being the Tamil voice of Abhi and Johnny.

Your stories are a melange of the perfect everything: Drama, wit, humor, places, plots, emotions and most importantly the characters themselves.

Your best work is done if your writing inspires more people to write too. With the best having already delivered, I'm in wait of the next level of perfection from you.

To spinning tales...

Congrats Devi...You are an amazing writer.

The stories you weave, leave a long lasting impression on the mind of the readers.Kalarikkal House is one such perfect example.Only the characters name that is Arnav and Khushi is from the show, everything else...the setting, backdrop, incidents, a mesmirising creation of your mind. The detailed narration transports the reader to the scene. The characters are amazingly layered.

Be it KH or Lavender, your stories cast a spell on us!
All the best and hope you keep on writing.
