Asad feels close to Zoya, and in a way expected her to be understanding of the situation. When his mom got shot, it's like his worst fears came true, confirming the fact, which he was not wanting to face or go through.. Putting his family on danger. Seeing the situation his reaction was expected. True he didn't try to find out what happened, but guys, don't forget at that moment he is only focused on his feelings. And his preconceived impression he had on Zoya, didn't allow him to give her the benefit of the doubt! His reaction as a human is justified, knowing the circumstantial situations!

I don't support the violence of Asad's slapping Zoya but she needed to use a bit of discretion at that point. That was neither the time or place for her to approach him. He was way too emotional and him slapping her was a reflex of that emotion. Had he been thinking straight, I'm sure he'd have never slapped her . All he could think of in that moment was that if Zoya hadn't brought Mariyam into his home, his mother wouldn't be fighting for her life. Dilshad is all Asad has except Najma. He was reacting with extreme emotion. Still he shouldn't have slapped her, that's never acceptable but under the circumstances it's not unforgivable.

Okay, guys tell me one thing. When you get REALLY MAD and upset, how you react and act in that situation? Especially when you feel out of control, do you think about the words you say, logically, when you say it? There is a saying, one shouldn't act or react when they are angry till they have cooled down. His reaction was done, at the HEAT OF THE MOMENT. At that time he was thinking about how MAD and ANGRY he is at Zoya, he was thinking she betrayed him, lied to him and is responsible for all this. The entire fault is Mariam's. there was no need for her to tell everything to Dilshad. She should have just left as she was supposed to!

Had he were thinking logically he wouldn't have do e that necessarily. But sure, raising a hand is not an acceptable thing, but he wasnt thinking at that time. He just went with the flow with his emotions, and acted on what he was feeling to do! He was BEYOND furious, mad and frustrated!

You can't blame him for being human, even though slapping is not something we support. It's a human reaction to a situation like this. He upholds his mom above everything else!

Think about the time when he swore to his mom not seeing his younger bro, whom he loves more than life! If he choose the promise made to his mom over giving in to seeing his bro, you can imagine the level of importance he holds for his mom.

Something this bad happening to her now, is beyond his imagination. He found Zoya to blame, hence reacted accordingly. It's just as simple as that. It had nothing to do with, if slapping was right or wrong, it's asking, is reacting as a human right or wrong. Anyone in that situation wld be tempted to do that, and Zoya holding a history of disobeying him kinda made it hard for him to see beyond what the eyes meet! Gotta see where he is coming from! It's not as big of a deal as if looks like, or ppl are making it out to be. Think of them as best friends. And look at the context and gravity of the situation! Then decide!
