Sanjay dutt did shine in beginning of 80s..with rocky(81) n naam(8)..but after he did not do any good memorable cinema. It was in 90s..he did thanedaar (which was a hit), saajan, sadak etc...but that was all in 90s...n vaastav came evn much later..when he got lot of appreciation..

80s dint see much of sanjay dutt!

i personally think anil kapoor is versatile and adaptable and yes street smart to keep with the changing trends.

Could not agree more abt Anil. He is on some Anti - Ageing thing...just doesnt get any older. I have been seeing him since the time i m born and he hasnt aged much at all!!

I know Mithun and Govinda were popular dancing stars but I wanted to know who was better at box office and where they stood in comparison to likes of Sunny, Anil, Sanjay, Jackie?

I've read Jackie won some most handsome guy polls in 1980s. Must've been popular as a hottie then.

Mithun came much before Sunny, Anil, Sanjay, I think. Mithun was a good actor but never got his due. He's doing wonderfully well now.

Amongst that lot, I'd say Anil and Sanjay. Sunny was in a different league. Action star. Who can forget 'Sochna kya jo bhi hoga dekha jayega...?'

Jackie was the STUD of 80s..any1 who was asked to name the hottest gy or best dressed guy..would always name Jackie back then. I remember that stardust n all used to b full of this..

Wehn it came to hot guys..he was the winner hands down..

His Movie with subhash Ghai - Hero - was a blockbuster. n then Teri meherbaniyan which i mentioned before was a big hit of 80s.But after that..i dont remember much of jackie in trms of acting..it was his looks n fab body..thats it!...

he was noticed again in ram lakhan n uske baad he played big bro kinda roles..but he was good in them...he was with Anil Kapoor n they were a a famous pair..however seems they had a fallout n dint work together after that!

It is not just about 80s. I said we can discuss careers of 80s heroes - both their prime in 80s and career in later stages. Kind of like, how it's all overlapping in Sridevi-Madhuri topics. BO, popularity etc. everything considered.

Let's keep it broad. Smile
