Suhasi:One has to really push the envelope in NB

Suhasi Goradia Dhami is quite excited about being a part of Nach Baliye 5 (Frames) with her stock broker husband Jaisheel Dhami(and brother of well known actress Drashti Dhami). "Taking part in a dance reality show and dancing normally are two completely different ballgames. Out here you really have to push the envelope with different concepts. Along with that there is always the added pressure of getting the right comments and good voting percentages as well," she explains. So what kind of dancer is she? "I am not very good with my feet but whatever I do is with full passion," she replies.

Here Suhasi admits that her husband who is more adept at dealing with figures on the balance sheet has had a real tough time to pick up the art of dancing. "We needed to do the figure 8 on the dance floor which he could not do. The poor guy is really working hard. Luckily for him his business partner is very cooperative and lets him spend as much time as possible in rehearsals. During some days he is breaking his back for as long as ten hours a day."

A very competitive Suhasi adds that she is not too happy with their last two performances. "We will need to really up the ante in the coming rounds. In this process, we are also learning a lot. Normally where do you have the time or a teacher to show you the moves? But when you have a goal you really raise the bar. For instance recently when our choreographer told us that we will do the fire act, we immediately agreed and this is something we would not have even thought of doing before even in our wildest dreams."

Suhasi who is also a part Aaj Ki Housewife Hai... Sab Jaanti Hai on Zee TV answered the question that she will get added benefit of being a positive bahu by admitting, "I am here because I am part of the industry. Having said that though my husband is not from the industry he is also getting support due to his hard work. All you need after all is a stepping stone."

Since she is doing a daily show on a rival channel, how does she do time management? "The actual shooting is just once or twice a week, so it is not a problem. However rehearsals are an issue. However I am glad that my production house (Film & Shots of Housewife) is very understanding. They have been always let me go early whenever I have requested for time off. In fact they encourage me by saying that they will always vote for me."
