When did I say that Barfi was blockbuster because of Ranbir but u will also agree that he was brilliant in that film! Anjaana Anjaani was a hit because of its music

Right now i think he doesn't need to do this experiment. Abhi itna bhi popular nehi huwa hain to try this stunt.

Never say never. Aamir Khan had several flops in 90s and all his action films were laughed at. He's the same guy who did a Ghajini 20 years later which crossed 100 crore. Given Salman's choco boy persona in early years it was hard to imagine this same family man, cute-looking boy could give back to back historic hits in masala films.

Maybe when Ranbir Kapoor gets older and if he continues to do different kinds of films (instead of getting slotted in romance or urban theme films) he can also make it as a masala hero.

Ranbir has advantage that he doesn't have as much of a baby face as his father had. He was convincing in aggressive mode in Rockstar. I think he can manage success in masala films in coming years, as his looks become more mature.

If he tries hard enough, he can pull off anything.

anyone who can't/can no longer do real roles does masala =)

So, Ranbir should definitely stay away!

No I don't think so! His choice of movie dictates that, also he is blinded by awards so I don't think he will go through the masala route--since awards are almost never given to masala film. Even if they are so good!
