Hey guys! I'll be your back-up updater for today. Sorry for the delay. A short update has been posted in my absence but I'll post a longer version of it now. But I'm really sorry for the delay! I accidentally pressed something which caused me to write this update again. Anyway, enjoy! It's pretty long. I got excited because it was KVB's day, I guess, LOL.
Today is Karanvir's turn to cook and host for the guests.
The voiceover said that today, Karanvir Bohra, in his unique style will welcome everyone. He's introduced by making a reference to 'Saubhagyavati Bhava' where the VO mentioned he won many hearts with. But will today he be able to steal the audiences' and his four guests' hearts?
The doorbell rings and Karanvir opens the door saying no Karanvir lives here. Just when he's about to close the door, Karanvir smiles and says he's just kidding. He lets the cameraman in. Karanvir says that he believes he has a two-sided personality. He's very strict, but also sensitive - very emotional. Karanvir then goes on to say that he wants to show the set-up of his house and how everything is going to work. But then goes to say, it hasn't been set-up completely, lol. He still needs to put up the pillows and other things.
He goes on to say that what he is at home with his family is not at all like how he is at work and vice versa. He loves feeding and satisfying people. If you're walking on the road and happen to clear away a sweat, but someone offers you water is what he calls 'mehmaan nawaazi'. As a chef, Karanvir rates himself a 10/10. According to him, he is no. 1. Karanvir is now wearing a skull mask and is saying to the camera that he should now go and cook some food.
The guests receives their menu. Debina asks if this is a menu and Giselle wonders whose marriage this is. Karanvir appears in his kitchen all pumped up. He goes in and asks where his artillery is. Then says he's asking for his 'auzaar' (no idea what that means, lol). Dimpy looks at the menu and tells herself that she will not be able to read anything in it because it's written in full Hindi. Back to Karanvir in his kitchen and he says he's making the most famous Marwari dish, 'daal baati churma.' Amar says that he loves daal baati churma. Giselle thinks this is some Rajasthani. And Debina thinks it's daal in maati, mud-like daal.
Back in the kitchen, Karanvir says reading his menu everyone will be shocked (actually, he said some "aristochak..." something. LOL, I had no idea what that word meant.) Debina, Amar, and Giselle have no idea what 'khair kumriya' is. Amar thinks it might be a mango. Karanvir's baati is 'phenomenally ready'. He touches it and kind of burns his finger. Dimpy is laughing at her situation. She tells herself that if she had studied better in school that perhaps she would have been able to read Karanvir's menu. She thinks its like Hebrew.
Karanvir is making khichdi with a certain type of rice, a rice he often eats. Amar reads that the main course is 'khichdi' and goes on to comment that Karanvir himself doesn't eat rice yet he made khichdi. (I actually found that comment really hilarious, hahaha. )
Karanvir says he's now making a very dangerous item, 'fafri' because it constantly moves. Debina doesn't know what fafri is. KVB then says this type of kheer can only be made by a Marwari. Giselle reads the sweet dish, 'kheer' and Debina, in some kind of accent, says everyone knows what kheer is. Karanvir talks about how to make a great kheer and the taste of a kheer, when he accidentally drops a bit of salt on the kheer, LOL. Dimpy is not sure if Karanvir's kheer will be better than Debina's kheer. Karanvir then goes on to say one should not lose their courage and he goes on to make the kheer again. Debina and DImpy have trouble reading what Karanvir's drink is. Amar says he doesn't quite like Karanvir's drink (I'm not sure how to spell it, so I'll refer to it as KVB's drink, haha). Debina says today's theme is 'Cowboy with Marwari tharka'. Giselle comments on it saying the cowboy is Karanvir, then do they come dress up as Marwaris? Back in KVB's kitchen, and he says it's time now for him to become the 'Western cowboy Rajasthan returned'.
Dimpy is not sure what tow ear while Debina is contemplating on wearing a lehengha like a Marwari with boots. Amar comments saying this is also something different. Karanvir says everyone has to be there by 9.
Giselle is the first one to come. She comments about her outfit saying since she always wears short skirts/dresses, today she came fully clothed. And she looks forward to see what everyone else is wearing, especially DImpy. As soon as KVB opens the door, Giselle comes in quite excitedly. But Karanvir tells her to go back to his doorstep since he wants to welcome her. And does a welcome rasam. Giselle was surprised with the way Karanvir so nicely and graciously was welcoming her and Karanvir kept giving her ashirwaads ending everything with 'Bhava'. (One of them was 'do not fight bhava' hahaha.) Debina is the second to enter. She comments saying this is a different theme so she came in with some unique attire and describes herself as a 'bhenji cowboy'. Karanvir opens the door while singing and Debina is coming inside. Karanvir comments saying what's wrong with everyone? They just start heading inside, LOL. She went back again and KVB once again did his welcome rasam. Karanvir sprays lots of droplets of water on her and Debina says that he didn't invite them for a shower. Debina really liked Karanvir's Rajasthani welcome and found it enjoyable.
Giselle apologizes to Debina about her behavior at Debina's house. Giselle then says she shouldn't have said all those things but DImpy was equally at fault. Debina doesn't look to pleased and says how Giselle constantly keeps saying that she is right and Dimpy is wrong. Debina then questions her why she fed Dimpy kheer and Giselle responds by saying she fed it to her only to tell her that they'll both remain happy now in their respective lives and not try and fight with one another. Karanvir is preparing his welcome drink where he's hearing their conversation from the kitchen. He peeks a little to hear their conversation and looks quite pissed that they're at it again. Karanvir sighs and wonders why he had left them alone, and says how he needs to return. Karanvir gives Giselle and Debina their welcome drink. Giselle found the drink a bit too sweet.
Amar is the third one to enter in a complete cowboy outfit with a desi scarf. Karanvir opens the door and is quite pleasantly surprised. Amar is also trying to enact that cowboy persona. While Amar takes a step to come inside, KVB immediately stops him wondering why everyone is always in a rush to head inside. And then he starts sprinkling water on Amar. Amar is upset that the host himself was not wearing appropriately according to the theme like always. Karanvir says that more than him, Amar is dressed in theme because of his entire cowboy suit.
KVB hands Amar his welcome drink which he found delicious. Giselle goes with Karanvir to help him in the kitchen. She comments about the food saying they look delicious. Giselle starts commenting about Debina to KVB while he just remains quiet for the most part.
Amar, Debina, and Giselle are eating the starter. Debina didn't quite find the 'aloo fry'-like things tasty. Debina tells Karanvir that she should have told him what he likes to eat, that way he would have ate something other than eggs. Karanvir smiles at that and takes them to a different room where he organized their sitting area. Debina found the area quite clumped together. Karanvir says this is just so everyone can relax and Giselle comments saying that Karanvir sits here watching a mujra. Karanvir stares at Giselle and Amar comments saying KVB does Kathak. KVB agrees with Amar saying he actually does Kathak. Amar comments that he has seen very few guys learn Kathak.
Karanvir then says that Amar had said Kathak is a feminine dance form and males don't do it. So he got up to show how males do it. Debina says after a long time she saw someone performing Kathak, especially a male which she found it to be very nice. Debina was so pleased to see this that she immediately joined Karanvir. Karanvir and Debina are performing Kathak together now and Debina said that she was very happy to do this after so long. Amar found Karanvir's Kathak better than Debina's one.
Finally, Dimpy enters. Karanvir does his welcome rasam on her and Dimpy comments saying she wasn't comfortable at all to see Giselle's face again. This is why she was contemplating for a while whether she should come or not. Amar tells Dimpy to relax and Giselle comments saying she came late to gain sympathy from everyone. Karanvir serves Dimpy her welcome drink. She said she was wondering the whole day was 'khas' is and now she finally understood what it actually is. Giselle and Debina have small argument over marriage and something about husbands.
Karanvir is in his kitchen saying yesterday the two ladies broke his umbrella, and today he was going to get back at both of them. He's not sure who broke it but both of them have to pay for it because he also got hurt so somebody has to pay the price. Karanvir brings two umbrellas with him telling the guests that they will play a game. Karanvir tells the girls that they have to imagine the umbrellas as babies. Giselle was quite surprised and DImpy found the task stupid. Karanvir tellsthe ladies that Dimpy is holding Giselle's kid and Giselle is holding Dimpy's kid. He tells them to imagine it's a baby, someone who is not aware what they have gone through and their fights between them. Karanvir's purpose for them was so Dimpy and Giselle could forget what happened and forgive each other. Dimpy is not pleased with this force to be friends and act.
Karanvir tells the guests that he has a confession to make. Karanvir calls up someone and tells the person to come quick. He lies to the guests saying he didn't cook the food and has ordered it. Dimpy tells Karanvir that all of them worked so hard to prepare the food and just then someone enters. The man comes in holding a tray of things. Dimpy tells KVB that she doesn't want to play anymore and throws the 'baby' away. Karanvir wondered how Dimpy could throw a child away. Dimply replies saying she didn't throw away a child but an umbrella. Karanvir wasn't too pleased with this.
Everyone except Giselle first refused to eat as they thought Karanvir ordered the food. Giselle went to go to the kitchen to help him. While serving the guests, Dimpy is shown telling that they realized that Karanvir actually cooked the food but her and Amar decided to play a little prank and turn the tables on him. She refused to eat and asked how he cooked the food. Karanvir requested her to eat but she refused again. Then, KVB in a very straightforward manner told Dimpy that she doesn't have to eat if she doesn't want to. Dimpy found his reaction shocking.
For the entertainment, Karanvir invited his masseuse to give the others a massage after a tiring day. Everyone was a bit surprised with this entertainment. Dimpy especially didn't enjoy it as the masseuse was hurting her.
Finally they all have left and have given thoughts on the episode. Debina enjoyed his hospitality and so did some others (I think). Dimpy and Debina found the food in one thaali uncomfortable and unhealthy. Amar found the entertainment average. Giselle thought it was more relaxation than entertainment. And Dimpy found it painful.
Amar - 5
Debina - 6
Giselle - 9
Dimpy - 4
Precap: Tomorrow is Giselle's turn. Dimpy and Giselle have their little spat again where Dimpy questions Giselle about her language. Karanvir accidentally eats non-veg and Dimpy is shown coughing during dinner. Everyone rushes towards her.
