Donon jahaan terii mohabbat main haar ke

Wo jaa rahaa hai koii shab-e-gam guzaar ke.

Viiraan hai maikadaa, khum-o-saagar udaas hain

Tum kyaa gaye ki rooth gaye din bahaar ke

Ek fursat-e-gunaah milii, vo bhii chaar din

Dekhe hain hamne hausle parvardigaar ke.

Dunyaa ne terii yaad se begaanaa kar diyaa

Tujh se bhii dilfareb haiNn gam rozgaar ke.

Bhule se muskraa to diye the vo aaj 'Faiz'

Mat puuchh valvale dil-e-naakarda-kaar ke
