Welcome drink: Water melon juice
Starter: veg kebabs and chicken drumstick
Main course: rice,veg: dumb aloo. Non veg: chicken biryani.
In addition to that i will provide curd, laban salad.
Sweet dish: kheer

Welcome Drink-cold/hot coffee    accompanied with chewra-matar fried
Starter-banarasi chat/fish fried/chicken lollypop
main course- veg pulav,
                      dal tadka,
                      gobhi k paranthe
                      handi murg
                      aloo-paneer ki sabji
                      accompanied with raita,my special tomato-garlic salad
desert-          eggless chocolte cake/custard


   the only theme after seeing this show-is dat you have to wear decency during whole tym

entertainment--i'll copy the show-ek minute

I know a lot of people who don't eat onion when they're Veggie, but is there any reason masoor daal is not allowed? How is it different from other daal?

if only I had known u r  teluguLOL my sister could never have snubbed me, I would have practised telugu with you and surprised her. She was living in hyderabad for last few months and learnt telugu quite well. now she knows more languages than I do.LOL

I mostly stole pulihora from my kannadiga friends, hence the bias I guess.

Masoor daal is high  protein.  Bong veg do not include anything that is high protein.

I come from a bengali shakta background, so it becomes difficult for me to understand the separation between spirituality and non veg habit. LOL To each his own I guess. 
I agree about limited options for vegeterian people. Thats why I don't really make a fuss about food when I am guest anywhere. I enjoy veg nonveg equally.

BTW my grandma is vegeterian for last 40 yrs. and a veggie in bong means she doesnt even touch onion or masoor daal. But when we were kids she had no qualms cooking non veg for us. I guess again its to each his own. But  I generally do not like the idea how nowadays people project having non veg food== ghor paap. LOL

I have seen so many of my Indian friends come and comment fish is veg for you guys and I had to politely reply, if I really want to have "proper veg food", you cannot cook it because you are not allowed to put onion in it.

Why are onion and masoor daal considered non-veg? Please pardon my ignorance but I am not from India and I don't have many hindu friends...
