Ashamed of corrupt government: Rupali Ganguly
Rupali Ganguly
On Republic Day, television celebrities express their views.

Rupali Gangully (Pinky of Parvarish - Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi)
I am very proud to be an Indian but unfortunately I feel ashamed that I am ruled today by a government which is corruption and scam ridden, which fails to protect women and children, which fails to prevent female infanticide and feticide. I am ashamed today I cannot hold my head high and celebrate the nation so rich in culture, heritage, history, diversity. A great nation built with great sacrifices of leaders like Bose, Patel, Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru etc... Weren't we better under the British rule? There is only caste and religion politics today. Divide and rule was then, divide and rule is now... But money laundering and selfishness and lack of leadership is only today.

Mudit Nayar (Jeet of Anamika)
Constitution to me means a set of principles on which my nation believes and stands for. It is the character of a country. Republic Day is the day when we got our constitution and legally became the proud citizen of India. Let's salute the occasion. Jai Hind and enjoy that day.

Annie Gill (Rano of Anamika)
To me, constitutional rights as citizen of India is the freedom of living freely in our free nation. These rights universally apply to all citizens, irrespective of race, place of birth, religion, caste, creed, color or gender. It's the perfect day to pray for our country. Happy Republic Day to all Indian citizens.

Chandni Bhagwanani (Amita of Amita Ka Amit)
Constitution is a tool which enables us to live in a free secular country and I think every citizen should be aware of it as we are the biggest democracy in the world. The fundamental rights, which we have, are being misused but we have to protest against the wrong deeds of people. Just because of few anti-social elements present in our society; we cannot let entire India suffer. All I want to say is let the world know that we are proud to be an Indian. Vande Mataram and Happy Republic Day!
