Wow Vinnie ! The chapters just get better and better.
There feels a lot of emotion packed in this chapter too, and how her small gesture of concern means so much to him, even if she may not realize it.
I really loved how you showed in your story that he's starting to feel again yet feeling like why should he deserve to be happy ? it's a really sad thing...
and just focus on those parts were important which you wrote out, about his battle with himself, his succumbing to the torture of his demons and past, the fight between acceptance and resistance to feeling this way, and all such things.
also love right now how you're keeping him from telling Sugni everything or telling her how much her concern means to him. it's a very big load to unburden, let alone easy to talk about. especially if he might feel that he doesn't even deserve the support or the some release of speaking to somebody about it ? and also possibly thinking if that person can not even begin to guess what's within Vickram, that her image of him would change after he tells her (?), and the happiness he's gaining bit by bit right now would then be lost too? (not sure if that's also on your mind, as the author)
there was humor too in parts, so great ^-^
all in all, loved the chapter ! it's nice to see somebody is there for Vickram when his own family members weren't. she's illuminating and bringing out good things about Vickram ^-^ his demons must be afraid of her
Thank you so much for leaving this review. I am glad that you are enjoying the story. Yes at this point Vickram dose not see himself in a good light and thinks every one around him would hate him to if they knew. A case of his inner guilt blinding him. But then he meets Sugni, who it seems lets nothing shake her. She sees the good in almost everything. And most importantly She trusted him, by taking his offer, when he doesn't even trust himself to really help her. She is going to slowly bring him back to his old self...but it will take some work...stay tuned!
