Since there was no update so far, I decided to post one

The episode begins w/ the previous episode, where the judge asks Viraj how he pleads these charges.  Viraj pleads guilty, shocking Ananya & Raj and everyone else.  The judge announces his sentence of 14 years imprisonment.  As they are getting ready to disperse, Viraj winks at Unniyal, who is in the courtroom.  Ananya sees that and is now wondering what new scheme is he up to?

At home, the members of the Mahila Samiti visit her and tell her that they don't know whether to apologize to her or congratulate her, but they thank her for putting Viraj in his place.  Later, she receives a phone call from Viraj stating that she hasn't heard the last of him, and that he'll be back.  This unsettles her, and she visits the jail, where the inspector assures her that Viraj has had no communication w/ anyone.  Elsewhere, Unniyal is shown sitting w/ a tape playing back Viraj's call to Ananya.  Ananya visits Viraj in jail, but seeing nothing and no response, they leave.

Ananya visits her office, where her boss is ready to make an announcement.  He tells them that they have Viraj's own statement sent to them, which they are going to play for the public, since it's a surefire crowd puller.  Ananya & Raj give up, and decide to just watch the proceedings.  Unniyal assures them that 'prabhu' is up to no mischief this time, and after handing the tape, leaves.  The boss this time sits in the announcer's desk, and tells everyone that they will be playing Viraj's message to the world.

Ananya is in front of the mirror talking to Jhanvi and telling her that she is amazed that 2 people who never met and who have no relationship are so close to each other.  She doesn't know what such a relationship is called, but it doesn't even matter.  Today, she's feeling much more at peace having brought justice to Jhanvi.

The recording shows Viraj in his usual romantic setting - candles, flowers and everything else.  He begins by describing his love for Jhanvi, and how she meant everything to him, and how he tried his best to make her perfect.  He mentioned how he would have left Jhanvi voluntarily had she simply stated that she hated him Confused and then asks whether that was so wrong?  He answers his own question by stating that it was!  He thought that if Jhanvi didn't reciprocate, it was b'cos she didn't care for his feelings, but now he realizes that the reason she didn't reciprocate was that she was in pain.  All this is being watched by random people in different places.  A lot of flashbacks are shown of Viraj & Jhanvi's happier moments, and Viraj concludes by stating that he was wrong!  Ananya is stunned to hear this, while Viraj continues that he wishes that while every man should have a wife like Jhanvi, no woman should have a husband like Viraj.  Everybody is surprised at his statement.

At the river bank, Ananya stands alone (no Uma Confused) w/ an urn containing Jhanvi's ashes, and scatters them in the river.  She states that today, her heart is feeling much lighter, and it seems like she's receiving a message from Jhanvi telling her that she forgives Viraj.  Ananya says that if that's what Jhanvi feels about Viraj, then that's what Ananya feels as well.  Today, finally, Jhanvi has received justice as well as mukti.

The final scene is that of Viraj in jail as a bonded laborer.  He is working more than even the other inmates, and one cop tells the other that it seems that he is punishing himself for something.  At the end of it, the cop just orders Viraj to stop and get back inside, and Viraj complies.  In his cell, Viraj is busy drawing something.  After a while, he's shown giving finishing touches to Jhanvi's picture, and on that somber note, the serial ends.

A few quick comments on the episode.  On one hand, it looked like they did the best they could to fix the damage.  OTOH, it seems pretty lame if they needed Viraj's admission of guilt in order to send the message that spousal abuse is wrong.  Essentially, that message had already been delivered by Jhanvi the day Viraj was first arrested, and if it didn't sink in then, it's not likely to sink in now.

The last 3 episodes looked both dragged, as well as rushed.  In Wednesday's episode alone, they could have finished the sentencing and the newscast, while showing members of Jhanvi's and Raghav's family.

One thing I liked about the last few episodes - they stopped using the name Sia, and reverted to Jhanvi once again.  In fact, in Ananya's monologue (I've forgotten whether it was to Viraj or in the news), she lambasted the fact that Jhanvi had to change her name and go hidden.  That's how it should have been throughout the serial.  The person who fell in love w/ and married Raghav was Jhanvi, not Sia.

Anyway, finally this nightmare of a serial has ended, and hope everybody finds new shows.  Sriti has already moved on to BV, KVB will be in the new Welcome: Baazi Mehmaan Nawaazi ki
show, and hopefully, there will be good shows as well for Harshad, Mala, Vinay and others in this serial.

She did this earlier too.  As she was preparing for her live broadcast with Viraj, she said that she will broadcast this story so that no Jhanvi would have to changer her name to Sia.  But they suddenly went back to Sia when she went to see Uma in Gayatri's house (thankfully, Uma kept saying Jhanvi). Then mostly used Sia till they went back to Jhanvi.

I forgot to mention one more thing in my comments.  One thing Viraj said was that every man deserved to have a wife like Jhanvi.  I disagree.  Even w/o her abuse, Jhanvi was a really pathetic character.  If one recalls the way she first interfered in Raghav's family in trying to bring him closer to them, and later, doing things like tying up Raghav's decision making w/ her stupid kasams, withholding important information from them all the time and so on, she really endangered Raghav and his family.  No man deserves to have someone like that even around him,  much less married to him.

It's good that they fixed the deal about Sia/Jhanvi, and kept referring to her only as Jhanvi.  Only thing I wish - that they had brought back Mrs Vyas, Sanjay and others - maybe have them watch Viraj's confession on TV.  Or have Uma w/ Ananya when Jhanvi's remains were immersed.
