Welcome to the Dance Party,
No Hrithik, no Varun, no Madhuri-it's HC
Setting the floor on fire,
Girls, he's all yours to admire
Even when he was just starting out as a cadet
He was ever the polite and charming gentleman
Whom you would want to whisk you away to dance
That's exactly what his lady love in Left Right Left got
The look in his eyes the very definition of romance
The world called Amber-Dhara a pair of freaks
But HC was only too ready to tap his feet
Leaving them mesmerized by his 'Salaam' to their 'Ishq'
His Punjabi moves making Amber feel the heat
As Prem, he was always careful to keep Heer close to him
Her arms wrapped around his shoulders, his eyes staring into hers intently
Just a ballroom waltz, now perfected from his cadet days
His movements so graceful,so passionate, so free
But Heer got her chance for revenge too,
Playing with 'Gaurav' though her heart belonged to Prem
Her mischief brought out the jealousy in him
And her naughty dance's arrow hit its aim
And who can forget their dream rain dance
His hand offered to her like a pail of water in the desert heat
His arms spinning her round and round
So that she swayed to him, and not to the beat
Then came Anurag, impulsive, sullen
Taani had no option but to be 'Behke' in front of their friends
The 'Baahon ke Darmiyaan' were closed as he brought her to the ground
Damn, he was so crazy, so intense
So fiery while paying his tribute to the Goddess Kaali
His biceps were bad enough,
But that manic energy made us sit up and look
His posessiveness in 'Tumhi Dekho Na'
His way of holding onto Taani tightly-it even kept us on the hook
But Mohan was cool, casual and flirty
After all, he 'Hated Love Stories'
So flamboyant, as he danced with a bevy of girls on his arm
of her prudence, Kastur fell under his charm
His body movements paid testimony to his carefreness
Because for Mohan, the quote fun was always too less
Then came Raghav, principled, on the ground
But not too rigid, to not have some fun when nobody's around
So what if his car breaks down in the middle of heavy rainfall?
He takes it as an excuse to romance Sia, it's monsoon after all
Pulling her back when she turns shy, without being too rough
Being strong enough to give her warmth, without being too tough
And the way his rain-soaked body moves-I think we've had enough!
Let's hope the Party goes on for an indefinite time
Coz he's such an irresistible dancer, it feels like a crime!

If music is to be called the food of the soul, then dance should be called its wine. Like wine, it takes you to another world, it frees your inhibitions, it turns you from normal and boring to wild and passionate. In Indian TV, dances are so important to the soap and the jodi that we often see special promos for them, and we often make special threads just for a spectacular dance in the forums!

Harshad Chopda has done various roles over the past few years, and is famous for his intensity, nuances and ability to fit into any character like a glove. His jodis are among the most popular on TV: with every serial we see new fans who enter the fold, enamoured by his characters. So is it any wonder that he burns the dance floor too in his serials?

Though he sees himself as a mediocre dancer and in need of lessons, his dances seem to have that special spark to them. The best thing about him is that he never lets go of the character even while the dance is on.  It's never HC-the-actor doing a dance with his co-star for a scene: we will always see it as Ali, Akshat, Prem, Onu, Mohan or Raghav expressing their love to their women!

Since Left Right Left is based completely on the goings-on in an army school, it's not surprising that there's only one dance scene of Ali's that we know of: an intimate, beautiful moment with his beloved Pooja. We see shy Ali turn uniquely protective in Pooja's presence, and then realise that he will be dancing for the first time with her, following his confession that he never dances at parties. However as a first timer, Ali exudes grace and finesse in his moves, and his shyness - coupled with Pooja's confidence - creates the perfect contrast and some amazing chemistry.

Farewell Dance

What makes Akshat so special is not only his love for Amber even though she can never be separated from Dhara, but the fact that he never allows their love to exclude Dhara, ever. This can be seen from their very first dance at the farewell party, where he gazes lovingly into Amber's eyes, but dances with both the twins: holding Amber's waist and Dhara's hand. Amber is lovestruck and spellbound throughout, as is Akshat, and Dhara is happy and takes part in the fun!

Salaam E Ishq

Here, Akshat dances for his Amber a la Salman Khan in Salaam-e-Ishq, to the title song of the movie! Dressed to kill in a lime-green sherwani and blue stole, Akshat publically woos his lady love, even as she looks on shyly and dances with him only towards the end. In this sangeet function we see the sisters having fun, a little bit of flirting towards Akshat from another girl, and the undeniable fact that Akshat has eyes only for Amber!

Prem was HC's first popular role; the role that pushed him towards stardom, as well as his first time in the lead role. It took no more than a few weeks for him to win hearts, so much so that his 'death' led to mass petitions and protests from his fans. Prem and Heer epitomized the concept 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' with their soulful gazes and scorching chemistry, and their dances were legendary!

Engagement/Disco Dance

Kis Des played out this concept twice in the serial: the first time after Prem's introduction and Heer's engagement with Manmeet, and the second time when they are separated again, and Heer is set to marry Rishabh. The first time around is also the first time we meet Jugni, who introduces the concept of everlasting love and is known best for her swirling Sufi dance. Moved by Jugni's pain and love, a normally shy Heer swirls around like Jugni, while on the other side of the globe, Prem ' who normally doesn't like dancing ' feels what Heer is doing and dances, without knowing why. In the second instant, Heer dances remembering her Prem, which Prem lifts his hands in dua. The connection between them is just that powerful.

Bol Na Halke Halke

This is part of a masque dance game, where Daljeet tries to torture Heer by forcing her to dance with a much older man so that Prem can dance with Ashlesha. Fortunately Prem comes to her rescue and gets to dance with her! A short but very romantic first dance, where both hold each other for dear life even though they don't know what binds them.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Set to the title song of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie, this dance sequence takes place after Lalit announces the Prem/Ashlesha and  Heer/Manmeet engagements. Though the two are dancing with their partners to this song, they just can't their eyes off their other, and eventually their souls are depicted dancing together, caressing and expressing the love they cannot allow themselves to show. Here the lines of tension on Prem's face disappear, and Heer reciprocates shyly.

Premeer Engagement

With Prem looking dapper in a suit and Heer looking dazzling in a sparkling pink salwar khameez, this jodi seem to be glowing with the anticipation of seeing their dreams come true. This sequence, set to Kuch Toh Hua Hi Hua from Aaja Nachle, sees some adorable nok-jhoks from the two. Premeer flirt and eyelock and tease each other throughout. The dance itself is beautiful and unique: they don't dance with each other, but with children wearing similar looking dresses while still gazing meaningfully at each other.

Rain Dance

This is a beautiful but painful dance sequence, situated as it is after Prem's death, on Heer's birthday. A heartbroken Heer listens to a tape Prem left for her birthday as a surprise, and runs out to see him setting up a romantic surprise for her. Imagining that Prem is there, Heer dances with him to their signature song Hum Hai Iss Pal Yahaan, never letting go even when it rains. In fact, the rains give this dance a beautiful, sexy look. Heer dances like never before, freely, openly loving Prem. No nok jhoks, no shyness, just Premeer and rain and their special magic'which fades as soon as Heer realizes that Prem is dead.

Snow Dance

Another sequence that is part of Heer's dreams. In fact, viewers were compelled to say that Prem in Heer's dreams was a lot sexier than in real. Prem silences a worried Heer and tells her to live this moment and treasure it. The two engage in a warm embrace in the snow and cling to each other such that there is no space left between them. Soon after, Prem holds her hands while teaching her to play the mandolin, as the gaze outside at the full moon and the soft snowfall. Secure in his arms, Heer blushes as she feels his fingers trace her lips and covers her hands in his.

Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali/Sangeet Dance

After a funny prank played by Heer and her sisters on an unsuspecting Prem, Heer laughs and tells him the truth, and in return, Prem drives the two other girls out to grab a moment in private with her. With only days to go before their wedding, Prem and Heer grab as many of these moments as they can. Reacting to a comment by Heer that she wishes for a little music to go with the romantic ambience, Prem tells her to imagine music that they will dance to, and both dance on the terrace. One particularly lovely scene is one where Heer cradles Prem's head on her lap. Soon after, we see the entire family dancing to Say Shava Shava from K3G.

Club Dance

At a time when Veera and Gayathri have both teamed up to make Premeer's lives hell, it's their siblings who come to their rescue and give them a chance to do what they really want to do: see each other and love each other. Preet and Meher persuade the two to meet in secret at a club. For the first time since Veera's miscarriage, Prem and Heer get to show each other their true feelings, even though they claim it's to make their siblings happy. Even through their nervousness, the two smile and rejoice at that special connection they have always shared.

TaAnu's relationship wasn't just about friendship turning into love and marriage. It was about the romantic tension playing constantly between the two; the fact that this bond of marriage created something everlasting between them and tied them together forever. This showed in their dances too. Harshad and Anupriya, both talented dancers and actors, brought so much to the few dances that they got in the show...so much so that those moments have been eternally etched in our memories. Here are the six dances that made our dils go dhak dhak for TaAnu'

School Reunion

Set to the song 'Pal', a mellow song about the good memories that pass us by so quickly, we see the tension literally oozing from Taani...sad that the meaning of their friendship has changed, nervous of what Sushant will think, afraid of whether she would forget herself in the magic of the moment and let her feelings show...there was so much hesitation in Taani's movements, and Onu's behaviour was such a perfect contrast to that -- so comfortable in the arms of his best friend, so relaxed. Just the sheer emotion in Taani's eyes and the affection in Onu's is enough to make this dance routine such a beautiful one. This is a dance where people are supposed to constantly change partners, but here we see TaAnu always returning to each other after a few seconds with another partner. Kind of like TaAnu's relationship in real; no matter how many times their paths separate their roads always lead them back to each other.

This is a short, but rather satisfying sequence because of how protective Onu is of Taani in this scene. Set in a dandiya function that TaAnu are expected to attend, it finds our hero and heroine playing dandiya with each other and with other partners. At one point, Onu sees a man staring at Taani's back and deftly moves to her, covering her choli with the palloo of her sari and sending a look the man's way that says 'move away, this lady is spoken for!'

Dream Sequence at Durga Puja/Puja Dance

This dreamy, lyrical number was set both to 'Saiyaan' and the title track, both of which were sung by Kailash Kher. The background is misty and dreamlike, the movements slow and graceful, the garments flowy and floating around the dancers. Taani's dream sequence is one that many thought predicted the future storyline, given that Nupur was seen to leave and then return in the song, and Onu seemed torn between the two women by the end. There are three sections in this song: TaAnu's friendship, Onu's romance with Nupur and then his return to Taani. The three set that stage on fire with their grand sweeping moves, almost like a poignant ballet!

After this, we see Onu dancing on two occasions, both times with coal, as traditionally young Bengali men do on Durga Puja. Bare chest glistening, Onu performs this dance wholeheartedly, but his anger that Taani won't tell him the truth still shows on his face. On the second occasion, we see Taani removing hot coal on the floor so that Onu's feet don't get hurt.

Most TLians complained that their TVs stopped working after this performance due to the excess electricity from TaAnu's chemistry  It was an Indianized version of a salsa dance, but TaAnu made this one scorching, searing hot! Set to the song 'Behke Behke Nain' from Aisha, the performance had a beautiful touch of realism by showing Taani faltering in her steps in the beginning, before she gets comfortable with the routine and matches salsa king Anurag step for step. Anurag doesn't take his eyes off Taani in this dance for a second in this performance, and his growing attraction to Taani is so obvious  you could literally feel it. Her hair, almost whipping around him as she swings to the beat, makes this pieces that much sexier! The final touch -- Taani caught snugly in Onu's arms -- turns this performance into a real work of art.

Rain Dance.

Set to 'Baahon Ke Darmiyaan', this number found TaAnu being finally aware of the feelings they have for each other, and this time ONU was the one who initiated the dance! Here, we see Taani slowly, but trustingly place her hand of Onu's, moving playfully away from him before being pulled back into his strong arms, and shivering at the effect of his nearness to her. The performance lasted only a minute or two but it felt like forever...just Taani, and Onu, and the rain gods...working their spells on us and leaving us to drool until we had no saliva left!

Dance at Robi's Sagaai

Many loved the dance because TaAnu's chemistry was impeccable here, and some were mad at Onu because in his temper he was tossing Taani around like a sack of potatoes! Following his realization that he might just be in love with her, and jealous of her relationship with Subodh, he takes his anger out on poor Taani in his performance to the song 'Tumhi Dekho Na'. It begins with Onu having an ironlike grip on her shoulders that makes Taani nervous, after which he flings her around the room, barely able to suppress his frustration. Again, expressions reign supreme in this sequence -- Onu's looks at Taani reveal a fury that he is trying hard to keep in check, while Taani's shows hurt confusion. When Taani tells him that his aggressive grip is causing her pain, Onu pushes her away, almost ashamed with himself. A piece just brimming over with repressed passion.

Kyun Main Jaagoon

One of the most graceful dances from TaAnu, this performance really showed how much the two have matured as partners... this particular dance routine showed them as two people secure in their relationship, certain of their trust in each other even as Taani attempts to hide her plan to rescue Onu by marrying Riteish. They both stop and begin in time with each other, beautifully managing some neat lifts. One of the lifts in this particular sequence could only be done neatly if the heroine held her balance while being lifted, not just given all her weight for the hero to carry ' and Taani did just that. This was a still, poignant dance, with a particularly incredible step -- Taani leans towards the direction of the floor, while Onu holds her with a single arm. This particular shot, caught in shadows, adds that air of mystery and elegance to the number.

Kaisi Paheli Zindagani

This one was different in the sense that it was more of a family dance, where everyone danced with everyone else...TaAnu and Robi dancing with each others' mothers and Shekhar flirting with the troupe dancer was an absolute treat...I'm sure a whole lot of us said, 'woah Bhopu, we didn't know you had it in you!'. A definite whiff of fresh air after all the arguments and fights TaAnu were having post their wedding...that's what this dance sequence was!

The quintessential bad boy, the phoren-returned ladka, killing everyone with his style and attitude ' and underneath it all, just a regular guy who keeps his disappointments to himself and moves forward in life. Until he met Kastur, Mohan really wasn't into relationships and it showed.

Dhol Bhajne Laga

This is probably the first time we see Champu Mohan dancing'and the last. Of course, since Champu is a thing of the past, we only ever see him in Saroj's memories and Kastur's dreams. In her imagination he is comfortable in traditional Gujarati dress, and overwhelmingly sweet and romantic. They do a traditional dance to a song that celebrates the return of a loved one, not surprising since Kastur has just got the news that Mohan will be returning soon. This is Mohur's first dance together ' even though it's only in Kastur's head ' and Mohan stands right behind her, holding her hand and pulling her close, leaning over and touching foreheads...a moment that makes this dance go from joyous to magical!

I Hate Love Stories

What a dhamakedar entry that was! (for Kastur, not for us!) And what a perfect way for Kastur to see how much Mohan has changed too. Here Mohan is the suave charmer, smoothly flirting with the ladies and making them feel good, unknowingly breaking poor Kastur's heart. He doesn't dance until the second part of the song, preferring instead to watch and enjoy with his newfound friend Nikita. However, when the performers pull him in, he dances up a storm and pulls Nikita with him. You see him loosening his formal tie, remove his jacket and move like he was born with it. Mohan grooves to this catchy hip-hop number and awes everyone in the crowd ' except for Baapji of course!

Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua

Mohur recreate Raj Kapoor and Nargis-style romance and innocence in this dance, and not only through wearing the same song as the evergreen couple wore in Shree 420. The two replicate the moves, acting perfectly as the lady and the tramp and charming everyone with their innocence. Even though Mohan doesn't seem in love with Kastur at this point, we still see how perfectly the two match each other, and how they oh-so-slowly begin to like each other as people!

Disco with Sia at New Year's

Mohan is shown letting his (cropped) hair down with his friend in London, Sia on New Years Eve. Sia joins Mohur at the disco and eventually pulls Mohan in to dance to Where's the Party Tonight, hoping it'll be like old times. Genuinely believing that Sia is inviting him for a dance as friends, he joins in and parties, leaving Kastur in the cold for a while. The camaraderie and the closeness with which the two dance reminds her that Mohan belongs to her, and she really should put her foot down.

Saanson Ko Saanson

After apologizing sincerely to Kastur for ignoring her, the two make up and decide to join a couple-dance competition in the same disco. The two dance to this sweet song about first love and, for the first time, find comfort in a romantic setting and thoroughly enjoy it, much to Sia's disappointment. Just as described in the song ' Mohan and Kastur truly become Hum Tum in this song.

This song is performed by Mohur at a family function, and finds both of them being completely lost in each other. Though Mohan now considers Kastur his closest friend and shows so in the dance, one can already see how affectionate he is to her here, and how delicately he holds her when they are dancing. The two smile and gaze affectionately at each other while dancing to this romantic song from Shor in the City.

Kuch Naa Kaho

Mohan plays this song to Kastur on their first night together as a couple, as part of a romantic night he has planned for her. Now certain of his love for her, Mohan leaves no stone unturned as he turns from good friend to absolute romantic. He gifts her a sari and showers her with roses, and gives her an intimate gift atop the terrace of their home. This is special because it's their first dance as lovers, and you can clearly see that they don't need words to express their love.

Raghavendra Pratap Singh has no time for anything but saving the world: well, until the moment he meets Sia, and she rekindles his need for a family and a life with those he loves. Raghav is the perfect savior, compelled to take up the causes of those who cannot stand up for themselves, and convince them to believe in their own fighting power. Sia is his polar opposite, too overwhelmed by her own trauma to do anything but fear. The start of their relationship is rocky and Sia never allows herself to believe in the power of love again, but even in those tense moments, these two allow love to blossom.

Engagement Dance

This is a particularly tense moment between RaghavI, given that it takes place immediately after a shocking announcement from Viraaj about their engagement. Given that old classic Kishore Kumar numbers are a constant in DSDDSB, it's no surprise that this dance is set to the tunes of Jaane Kaise Kab Kahaan from Shakti, a song Sia is particularly fond of. However, both don't have a chance to savour this romantic moment because they are still reeling from the shock of this announcement, made without their permission or even knowledge. Immediately after this, Sia finds herself re-traumatized, and eventually tells Raghav she doesn't love him, leaving him heartbroken.

Sangeet Dance

Unlike the previous dance, this one is especially poignant given the timing: Raghav and Sia are poised to execute the last part of their plan, Komal and Tashu have just found out who Viraaj really is, and Tashu has just experienced some form of sexual assault. There is a sense of doom within this sequence, set to the sad version of Kal Ho Na Ho. Here, RaghavI know they have to act like they are in love, yet know that the truth is this love is one-sided and will never happen. Sia, still unaware of her feelings, feels Raghav's pain and grieves, while Raghav gives her the space she deserves. One of the reasons they make such a great couple!

Suhaag Raat Dance

Now reunited and married, RaghavI bask in the joy of each other's company and look forward to starting this new chapter of their life together. He offers to have a dance with her in the privacy of their room, just to test the waters and see if they can be comfortable with this intimate act. Sia, for the first time, dances without fear, gives her love to Raghav freely, finally learns to live. Even though she may not be comfortable with sleeping with him yet, she still feels no fear touching and being touched by him, which shows us that she is slowly healing.

Rain Dance

One year after their short wedding ceremony, this rain dance shows us exactly how far RaghavI have come as a couple. Set to a song made especially for the jodi ' Mann Bhaawra ' this sequence finds the two stuck on a road while taking a romantic ride on his bike. They make the most of the time they have outside in the rain with a dance. Sia dances close to him, showing us how much she now trusts him and how good she feels with him.

Here's to hoping for many more scorching jodis and many more beautiful dances from HC!!

Born in Gondia, a town Near Nagpur(India) on may 17th 1983 , Harshad Prakash Chopda's family decided to move to Pune, following his graduation as a computer engineer from Modern College Of Engineering. His parents never approved of his celluoid dreams and thus they enrolled him in an engineering college.Harshad audaciously states"I only did engineering because my parents asked me to do so.However, i was clear in my mind as to what i wanted"
Later after completing his studies he headed straight to Bombay to pursue his acting career hoping to make it big one day just like Salman Khan, his favorite Bollywood actor. He struggled hard during these years waiting for his big break but before that break would come he found himself successfully auditioning for Zee's Mamta and so began the journey of the actor Harshad Chopda!

He bagged his first prominent role in his second serial Left Right Left where he essayed the character Cadet Ali Baigh. This role found him a small measure of fame as he starred alongside actors like Rajeev Khandelwal but he feared typecasting and so he soon quit the show. He joined the cast of Amber Dhara soon after quitting Left Right Left. He essayed the role of Akshat and his performance was acknowledged at a larger scale. Unluckily, his stint with Amber Dhara didn't last long due to problems with the production house.

After remaining off screen for a short period of time, Harshad bounced back strongly with the Balaji show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil where he portrayed the character of a passionate lover, Prem Juneja. He was recognized for his outstanding performance at various award functions.
After Desh, Harshad bounced back in action to essay the character of Anurag Ganguly, a character which had various shades as Anurag's journey to discovering love unfolds...where ultimately Harshad played insanity to such perfection that Pagal Onu had his own exclusive fan following...

After Tere Liye...Harshad shed the lover boy image of telly and played the grey shaded character of Mohan Gala in Dharampatni who is far from being the perfect and loving husband...as he portrays the role of a drunkard who ultimately discovers the positive things in him to create a success story. Harshad played Mohan To The T...be it his one liners...his passion for work...his guilts...his struggle to breathe free in Gala house...everything was perfect...

Recently, he had played the role of Raghav, a fearless young man who only works on what his heart says. Not only his name but his personality too is synonymous with Lord Ram, who was saviour for many, same way he is a saviour for many though his ways can be different given account to his intensity and angst but all he wants is no injustice with anyone but he does not like fighting for them, he likes making them capable to fight for themselves. HE does not speak much as his actions do that job and if often being misinterpreted for the same. His fearless attitude, strong will, passion to set everything right and for that going to any limits is what sets him apart from the crowd.
Below is a brief description of all his on screen characters so far...

This FC is like a second home for the fans and is dedicated to Harshad, so please treat it with love and respect

* Do not make requests for personal info of the star like email id's and contact numbers. Also his personal life is none of our concern and it shouldn't matter to us what he does or who he is with off screen.

*Please don't spam the FC, I hope we don't get to see posts which are frivolous and contribute to spam. No One Liners and Hi Byes' are allowed!

* No abusive language
* Respect other members Point of View. If you don't agree with someone then agree to disagree, it's better than fighting . Still if you want to fight use PM service for that.
* Sarcasm and hypocrisy will not be tolerated
* We encourage open dialogue here. So, more the thoughts flowing, more the ideas evolving and more we learn from each other.
*New Members are requested to introduce themselves, giving their names and telling existing members that what is it about Harshad that makes them a fan and how did they learn about the FC?
* Members are requested to please check 5-6 previous pages of the FC before posting any new info or pictures so that the same info or pictures are not posted again and again, it will make the FC look messy.
Members are requested not to forgot that this fc belongs to harshad chopda and discussions are limited to his onscreen chemistry...
If any personal discussions are done...they should be related to him ONLY...

* This is Harshad's FC so if you are not a fan then don't bother joining just to make fun or bash. As a true Harshadian you must be aware that past is past and it will never come back but nonetheless the future will be better and more promising, so look forward to it with open mind and arms!
