Us CC's want to bring back Lohri and warm the cushions you're sitting on. We want you to taste the laughter, experience the joy as if you were sitting near the fire throwing wheat and popcorn.

Lohri welcomes the new year, it opens its hands and hearts giving it a big fat hug. Its a day of festivity, where people from the village gather around a wood fire in excitement, not minding the cold breeze but rather caring about the family feeling one feels when surrounded by people off Punjab.
It is usually celebrated on the 13th of January, for the people that believe its not just a festivity its a way of life. Lohri for them brings a warmth and spark, it brings fertility to the grounds and light to their lives. It marks the rising of the sun from the north
Hence they gather around bonfires and throw various crops into it, happily singing and dancing, as it marks a holy beginning.
So now the CC's ask you when was your first lohri?
