JUST AS U ARE - Chapter 3
Khushi sank into the couch and switched on the air-conditioner of her room. She couldn't just get the garden off her mind. She had always loved gardening. Since childhood. And now that garden was something she had always wanted to create. She wanted to know who the owner was. she wanted to meet the Doctor to whom this garden belonged.
Suddenly Khushi felt a need have some coffee and got up to make herself one. Having helped herself she sank into her couch once again still thinking the same thing. Khushi's phone rang from nowhere and she bumped in shock spilling the coffee over herself.
"F**k!! Coming!!" she told her phone as if it was going to stop ringing on hearing that. It was Meera. A smile automatically curved her lips as she picked up the phone.
"Yes Meera?"
"Khushi... U safe na? Any problem out there?"
"No re.I am completely fine. I kind of like this place. Its beautiful. Let your boyfriend know that his arrangements are totally awesome." Right from here Khushi could say that Meera had turned all red. Meera and NK had been dating for quite a few months now. And she was very much happy for her brother.
"Haw!! Khushi...Shut up!!"
"Accha Baba...Sorry. U take care, ok?" Khushi said that and ended her call.
Khushi walked upto the balcony and stood there gazing at the city.it looked all the more beautiful with all those lights on. She was liking this place. Reasons she didn't know, but this place was pulling her towards itself.

After yet another tiring day at the hospital, Arnav pulled his car into the parking lot and reached for the elevator. Having reached his floor, he stepped out and walked towards his apartment as James, one of his neighbours walked across and spoke to him in the perfect American accent.
"Hey Doc!! Looks like u've got company in here!"
Arnav smiled at James not understanding what he was saying and walked upto his apartment. He carelessly threw his bag on the sofa and sat on the couch and loosened his tie. Heaving a sigh, he walked upto the kitchen and made himself coffee.
Now that his daily routine was over Arnav decided to water his plants. He had developed gardenening as his hobby from her. The garden reminded him of her. Her memories. But he had moved on. It was a bit difficult for him but ever since his younger sister Payal had left him.
He had tried to find about her whereabouts but had always failed. Even his elder sister Anjali had tried to find her, but no one knew where she was. how she was. btushing aside these thoughts Arnav walked out into the porch to get some fresh air.
Arnav picked up the watering jar and started watering the flowers as he felt someone approach him. He looked up from his garden to find a young lady in her mid-twenties standing infront of him. She was attractive. Her eyes were large and dough-shaped. Her eyes were the first thing he had noticed in her. She was wearing a loose jersey and shots. Her hair was tied in a messy bun as a pair of reading glasses adored her face.
"Hi.." The girl said to him.
"Hey"
"Could I meet the Doc?"
"yeah, temme..." Arnav answered.
"No, actually I want to see Dr. Arnav Singh Raizada."
"I am Arnav Singh Raizada!" Arnav said embarrassed in the way in which she had asked for him.
Arnav noticed that the girl's eyes widened in utter disbelief. Arnav understood what she was thinking and answered her
"Umm.. yeah. Dr. Arnav Singh Raizada is not an old man in his mid-fifties... Its me.."
Arnav once again saw that the girl looked at him in awe not able to process how he had understood what she had thought.
"Oh.. I am sorry about that. But how did u know what I was thinking?" Khushi asked moving a bit closer.
"I am a psychologist... And you are?" Arnav asked her.
"Oh yeah!! I am Khushi, Khushi Gupta..." the girl told him.
Arnav examined the girl from head to toe. She was beautiful. And he was not liking this sudden attraction towards her. He knew what feelings were. He had a degree for having learnt to know these damned feelings.
"Umm... By the way, Nice garden." He heard her say.
Arnav looked up from his garden and smiled at her and adjusted his glasses.
"And yeah. I am your new neighbor" Khushi said pointing to her door.
Arnav once again nodded at Khushi and continued with his work.
Khushi looked at the man sitting in front of her and doing his garden. He was handsone. But he was attractive. Manly, was the word that escaped her mind when she had seen him. His glasses made him look all the more smarter.
Dr. Arnav Singh Raizada? Not a bad name.
Khushi thought to herself.
"Hey Doc... U know any good Indian restaurant round this place? I am too tired to cook.." Khushi said to Arnav.
Arnav glanced at her and grinned at her raising his brow.
Khushi looked at this and frowned.
"All right, I accept... I am bad at cooking!!"
Arnav looked at Khushi and smiled at her.
"Yup.. Get ready... I'll take you..." Khushi heard him say.
Khushi nodded her head as she saw him vanish inside his house after flashing a smile at her.
Khushi walked back to her apartment feeling a strange pull towards this guy.
thank u so much for always being there for me guys and accepting my work!!
Love you all!!!
